According to CBS press people, he will have presented 6,028 shows on late night by the time he signs off Wednesday — 1,810 on NBC as “Late Night with David Letterman,” and then 4,214 on CBS as “The Late Show with David Letterman.”

In that time, he’s presented 4,605 Top Ten lists since 1985, and each were attributed to the Home Office, which has been in 11 different cities — three in Nebraska alone, where Wahoo has been home office for many years.

They also made a list of all the Top Ten Offices in the last 25 years in order:

  • Milwaukee
  • Lebanon, Penn.
  • Lincoln, Neb.
  • Oklahoma City
  • Omaha
  • Scottsdale, Ariz.
  • Tehlequah, Okla.
  • Oneonta, N.Y.
  • Sioux City, Iowa
  • Grand Rapids, Mich.
  • Wahoo, Neb.
