RadioCPRThe start of the season’s last three day weekend inevitably means a collision of both working songs for Labor Day and a batch of anthems celebrating the last moments of summer.

Ah, bittersweet! But there were two hours to tonight’s show, so the first dedicated could be dedicated to the drudgery of work, and right around midnight came the summer songs, not a moment too late.

Accordingly “Working in the Coal Mine” made two appearances as did the Beach Boys, there were live cuts from the Clash and Talking Heads and a lot of summer songs with similar titles.
