vice-world-of-sportsThe rollouts are continuing on the year’s best new network. And like many of its other shows nominally about subjects otherwise well covered by cable — travel, food, music — it brings an international perspective often lost or ignored elsewhere.

In tonight’s premiere, “Vice World of Sports” (Viceland, 11 p.m.) has host Selema Masekala traveling to  Ghana to a tiny town that has nonetheless produced more championship boxers per capita than anywhere else in the world.

A totally unnecessary “The Goldbergs: An 80s Rewind” (ABC, 8:30 p.m.) replaces the sitcom this week with a short documentary about stars’ recollections about the actual 1980s, as if there isn’t a current CNN documentary series about the very same thing.

Lucious throws a fund raiser on “Empire” (Fox, 9 p.m.) to show his worthiness as CEO.

Martha’s on the run on “The Americans” (FX, 10 p.m.) and both the FBI and KGB are on the case.

Bethenny holds her own birthday party in the Hamptons and acts all bratty on “The Real Housewives of New York City” (Bravo, 9 p.m.).

George returns to the old neighborhood on “Lopez” (TVLand, 10 p.m.).

On a new “Nashville” (ABC, 10 p.m.), Luke goes on a talk show to boost Will’s career.

The mommy group gets tense on “There Goes the Motherhood” (Bravo, 10 p.m.) because that’s what happens in Bravo shows: women never get along.

Deadly insects and raging rapids threaten a duo in a Costa Rican rain forest on “Dual Survival: Untamed” (Discovery, 10 p.m.).

A dangerous plan is hatched on “Underground” (WGN America, 10 p.m.).

A Confederate flag causes consternation for “The Soul Man” (TV Land, 10:30 p.m.).

The three week survey “From Caligari to Hitler” on Turner Classic Movies concludes with Louise Brooks in G.W. Pabst’s silent “Pandora’s Box” (8 p.m.) and “Diary of a Lost Girl” (10:30 p.m.), followed by “Westfront 1918” (12:15 a.m.), “The 3 Penny Opera” (2 a.m.), “Kamaradscaft” (4 a.m.) and “Anna Christie” (5:30 a.m.).

Second round of the Stanley Cup playoffs begin with Islanders at Tampa Bay (NBC Sports, 7 p.m.) and Nashville at Anaheim (NBC Sports, 10 p.m.).

The NBA playoffs have Charlotte at Miami (TNT, 8 p.m.), Portland at Clippers (NBA, 10 p.m.) and Houston at Golden State (TNT, 10:30 p.m.).
