DeuceSeasonFinaleIt’s been the best thing on TV this season, with the richest array of characters and action, but there was something quite slow about “The Deuce” (HBO, 9 p.m.) developing its point, which was the shift from street walking to massage parlors and the rise of the porn movie industry. So I hope there’s a steadier pace for the second season, once this one winds up tonight.

It’s the finale, too, for “Ray Donovan” (Showtime, 9 p.m.), which will move to New York for season five.

There’s another go-round for “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” (ABC, 8 p.m.), followed by two helpings of “Shark Tank” (ABC, 9 and 10 p.m.).

“Madam Secretary” (CBS, 10 p.m.) tries to stop the government shutdown.

On “Curb Your Enthusiasm” (HBO, 10:10 p.m.), Larry meets Sammi’s fiance and things don’t go well.

It’s Game 5 of the World Series (Fox, 8 p.m.) of Dodgers at Astros, with the series tied 2-2.

It’s Pittsburgh at Detroit (NBC, 8:20 p.m.) on Sunday Night Football. earlier games include Minnesota vs. Cleveland (NFL, 9:30 a.m.), Chargers at New England (CBS, 1 p.m.), San Francisco at Philadelphia (Fox, 1 p.m.) and Dallas at Washington (Fox, 4:25 p.m.).

On “The Collection” (PBS, 10 p.m., check local listings), Inspector Bombard closes in on the Sabines.

“This is Life with Lisa Ling” (CNN, 10 p.m.) meets with three different African American Muslims.

Gamby takes spring break on “Vice Principals” (HBO, 10:45 p.m.).

The first new “Last Week Tonight with Jon Oliver” (HBO, 11:15 p.m.) in a couple of weeks comes on a little bit later than usual.

Louisa has a birthday on “The Durrells in Corfu” (PBS, 8 p.m., check local listings).

“Anthony Bourdain Parts Unknown” (CNN, 9 p.m.) goes to Sri Lanka.

A wolf stalks Jenny and her baby on “Edge of Alaska” (Discovery, 10 p.m.).

Shantel goes to see Nelly perform on “The Platinum Life” (E!, 10 p.m.).

“Halloween Wars” (Food, 9 p.m.) has one last showdown.

The battle continues on “Walking Dead” (AMC, 10 p.m.). Then then there is discussion about it on “Talking Dead” (AMC, 10 p.m.).

Copyright infringement is the big problem on “Wisdom of the Crowd” (CBS, 8 p.m.).

Dwight’s prison time threatens his relationship with Caroline on “Poldark” (PBS, 9 p.m., check local listings).

“Monsters Inside Me” (Animal Planet, 9 p.m.) isn’t really about monsters, or animals.
