americansAfter six seasons the acclaimed drama “The Americans” (FX, 10 p.m.) comes to an end. It was always a little too Boris and Natasha for me, and had the bad timing to have the family in charge represent Russian infiltration at a time when that was happening with a vengeance (we were supposed to root for them?). But it was set in the 80s and they’ve saved some of their budget for a couple of last classics from that era for the 90 minute finale, in which the fate of the family is determined, if not the geo-political world.

The unflappable Ellie Kemper stars in the fourth and final season of “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” (Netflix, streaming) becoming available today, with Kimmy sunnily starting a new job at a tech company.

Sarah Shahi returns to series TV portraying a former hostage negotiator hired by a tech company to rescue people from an overactive virtual reality program called “Reverie” (NBC, 10 p.m.) in a new broadcast series. Dennis Haysbert also stars.

“American Ninja Warrior” (NBC, 8 p.m.) begins its 10th season in Dallas.

Everyone’s future is up in the air on the second season finale of “Famous in Love” (Freeform, 8 p.m.).

“MasterChef” (Fox, 8 p.m.) returns for its ninth episode with 43 hopefuls trying to be in the Top 12 in the two hour premiere.

“Full Frontal with Samantha Bee” (TBS, 10:30 p.m.) may have something to say about the implosion of Rosanne Barr.

A plane has a lot of difficulties on the first of two episodes of  “Code Black” (CBS, 9 p.m.).

The first season finale of “NOVA Wonders” (PBS, 9 p.m., check local listings) looks into dark matter.

Jim finally gets his job as a major league announcer in Atlanta on “Brockmire” (IFC, 10 p.m.).

“Hollywood Darlings” (Pop, 8 p.m.) seek help from witches to break a curse.

Archer and Pam seek help from a newcomer on “Archer” (FXX, 10 p.m.).

Bethenny really knows how to kill a murder mystery dinner party on “The Real Housewives of New York City” (Bravo, 9 p.m.).

“Being Serena” (HBO, 10 p.m.) has its finale, preparing for the French Open (Tennis, 5 a.m.).

Koalas are not on the list of “Australia’s Deadliest Animals” (Animal Planet, 8 p.m.).

Will, Katie and Snyder try to protect their secrets while under interrogation on “Colony” (USA, 10 p.m.).

“SIX” (History, 10 p.m.) has the second new episode of the season in as many days. Olivia Munn has apparently joined the show.

Turner Classic Movies is all about a dog tonight with “Lassie Come Home” (8 p.m.), “Son of Lassie” (9:45 p.m.), “Courage of Lassie” (11:45 p.m.), “Hills of Home” (1:30 a.m.), “The Sun Comes Up” (3:15 a.m.) and “Challenge to Lassie” (5 a.m.). A different dog starts today with “Bulldog Drummond at Bay” (6:30 a.m.), “Bulldog Drummond Comes Back” (8 a.m.) and “Bulldog Drummond’s Revenge” (9 a.m.).
