Instead, it should be Sportspeople, since for just the fourth time since 1954, the achievement will go to an entire team, the Golden State Warriors. Joel McHale hosts the event.

The sly illusionist returns for more of “The Carbonaro Effect” (truTV, 10 p.m.).

On “Supernatural” (CW, 8 p.m.), the brothers split up to seek weapons they’ll use against the Archangel.

He stars all afternoon too in “Happiness Ahead” (1:30 p.m.), “Twenty Million Sweethearts” (3 p.m.), “Page Miss Glory” (4:45 p.m.) and “Hearts Divided” (6:30 p.m.). This morning it’s all about Van Heflin, on the occasion of the 110th anniversary of his birth. Thursday Night Football has Chargers at Kansas City (Fox, 8:30 p.m.).
