Friday TV: Katherine Ryan’s ‘The Duchess’

The Canadian comic Katherine Ryan stars in the new series based on her life as a single mom living in London and considering a second child in the ribald series “The Duchess” (Netflix, streaming).

The French comedy series “Family Business” (Netflix, streaming) about a butcher shop turned pot dispensary, returns for a second season. 

England’s Royal Ballet company production of Sergei Prokofiev’s “Romeo and Juliet,” filmed in Budapest in 2019, is presented on “Great Performances” (PBS, 9 p.m., check local listings). Kenneth MacMillan choreographs William Bracewell and Francesca Hayward in the title roles,

The 19th anniversary of 9/11 is marked with new documentaries about the hijacked planes that didn’t hit the World Trade Center. “9/11: The Final Minutes of Flight 93” (History, 8 p.m.), about the plane that crashed in Pennsylvania, followed by “9/11: The Pentagon” (History, 9 p.m.).  

On network TV is “9/11 Remembered: The Day We Came Together” (ABC, 8 p.m.) will repeat the 2014 opening of the 9/11 Memorial Museum in New York.  

As the title indicates, “Selling the Big Easy” (HGTV, 9 and 9:30 p.m.) is a new real estate show specializing on homes in New Orleans. 

Ewan McGregor, Peter Hammy, Peter Strzok and Jessica Yellin are guests on a new “Real Time with Bill Maher” (HBO, 10 p.m.).
