Monday TV: Turning on the Renewables

James is disappointed on the first night out on the Caribbean on “Below Deck” (Bravo, 9 p.m.).

On “L.A.’s Finest” (Fox, 8 p.m.), the two try to bend the law to save a life. 

“Dancing with the Stars” (ABC, 8 p.m.) is down one Backstreet Boy after the elimination of AJ McLean last week. Just six remain for tonight’s semifinals. How did Nelly make it this far? 

“Christmas Cookie Challenge” (Food, 10 p.m.) looks to the future. 

One of the magicians on “Penn & Teller: Fool Us” (CW, 9 p.m.) is named Tony Montana. Maybe he’ll bring his little friend.

Turner Classic Movies’ Monday night salute to Shelley Winters continues with some of her notable supporting roles in “The Diary of Anne Frank” (8 p.m.), “Odds Against Tomorrow” (11:15 p.m.), “Executive Suite” (1 a.m.) and “Tennessee Champ” (3 a.m.). 

During the day are movies of prison musicals with “Comet Over Broadway” (6 a.m.), “Say It With Songs” (7:15 a.m.), “Over the Wall” (9 a.m.), “The Beggar’s Opera” (10:15 a.m.), “20,000 Cheers for the Chain Gang” (noon), “Weary River” (12:30 p.m.), “Always in My Heart” (2:15 p.m.), “The Canary Comes Across” (4 p.m.), “Untamed Youth” (4:30 p.m.) and of course “Jailhouse Rock” (6 p.m.).
