Tuesday TV: Unnecessary Dog Clipping

Rebel Wilson hosts the latest TV competition, this one about dog grooming, in the new series “Pooch Perfect” (ABC, 8 p.m.), a show that will likely go to extremes when it comes to canine puns. Wilson had previously hosted the earlier Australian version of the show.

Here’s a horror story from a year ago: “The Last Cruise” (HBO, 9 p.m.) documents the doomed Diamond Princess cruise ship where hundreds contracted coronavirus and those who didn’t weren’t allowed to leave once docked. Taken from video taken in the moment by passengers as well as from crew, who had it the worst of all. 

Kamala Harris is the featured interview on “Women Making History” (Lifetime, 8 p.m.). 

“Mayans MC” (FX, to p.m.) tries to find a solution to its heroin problem. 

Gospel and soul artists gather to celebrate early on “Our OWN Easter” (OWN, 9 p.m.). 

“Soul of a Nation” (ABC, 10 p.m.) looks at issues of race in athletics. 

The British animated children’s series gets its own movie special, “Octonauts & The Ring of Fire” (Netflix, streaming), confronting volcanos and a tsunami. 

“Supergirl” (CW, 9 p.m.) returns for her sixth and final season, trying to save Brainiac after his confrontation with Lex Luthor. 

The new documentary series “American Cartel” (Discovery+, streaming) examines the death of a Burbank police officer tied to a Mexican cartel.
