“Married at First Sight” (Lifetime, 8 p.m.) returns for its 13th season, putting to shame all of those dating shows where they take so long to find a spouse. That includes “Love Island” (CBS, 9 p.m.), but also the new “Sexy Beasts” (Netflix, streaming) in which potential couples meet each other wearing elaborate masks. 

One of the most unnecessary specials regarding the upcoming games is “Olympic Dreams Featuring the Jonas Brothers” (NBC, 8 p.m.).

“Expedition Unknown” (Discovery, 8 p.m.) returns for a new season with Josh Gates. 

With Frenchie and Britini up for eviction, the veto competition is held on “Big Brother” (CBS, 8 p.m.). 

“The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” (Bravo, 8 p.m.) takes a desert retreat. 

Kathy Najimy, Mario Cantone, Bridget Everett and Dulcé Sloan play “The $100,000 Pyramid” (ABC, 9 p.m.). Other game shows tonight include “Press Your Luck” (ABC, 8 p.m.), “Match Game” (ABC, 10 p.m.) and “Crime Scene Kitchen” (Fox, 9 p.m.), which has a first season finale where a winner gets $100,000.

“Hunting Atlantis” (Discovery, 9 p.m.), about the search for the fabled underwater city, begins its cable run. 

Murphy reaches out to an unlikely source for help on “In the Dark” (CW, 9 p.m.). 

“Dave” (FXX, 10:30 p.m.) reminisces about his advertising days with Emma. 

 Gael provides some big news on “Good Trouble” (Freeform, 10 p.m.).

On “Siesta Key” (MTV, 8 p.m.), Jordana wants more from Brandon.

The Wednesday night month-long focus on small town films on Turner Classic Movies turns to musicals with “Bye Bye Birdie” (8 p.m.), “The Music Man” (10 p.m.), “Meet Me in St. Louis” (12:45 a.m.), “Janie” (2:45 a.m.), and “Four Daughters” (4:45 a.m.). 

During the day are films about the problems of the nouveau rich with “Five and Ten” (6 a.m.), “Million Dollar Baby” (7:45 a.m.), “A Millionaire for Christy” (9:30 a.m.), “Expensive Husbands” (11:15 a.m.), “Next Time I Marry” (12:30 p.m.), “Breakfast for Two” (1:45 p.m.), “Big City Blues” (3 p.m.), “The Big Shot” (4:15 p.m.), “Big Hearted Herbert” (5:30 p.m.) and “The Millionaire” (6:30 p.m.). 

Preliminary Olympic Games continue with U.S. vs. Canada (NBC Sports, 8 p.m.) and Japan vs. Mexico (NBC Sports, 11 p.m.) in softball. Women’s soccer begins very early, with games that include U.S. vs. Sweden (USA, 4:30 a.m.), Japan vs. Canada (NBC Sports, 6:30 a.m.), Netherlands vs. Zambia (Olympic Channel, 7 a.m.) and Australia vs. New Zealand (USA, 7:30 a.m.).

Baseball includes San Diego at Atlanta (MLB, noon), Pittsburgh at Arizona (MLB, 3:30 p.m.), Cubs at St. Louis (ESPN, 8 p.m.) and San Francisco at Dodgers (MLB, 11 p.m.). 

And hockey’s Seattle Kraken has its expansion draft (ESPN2, 8 p.m.).
