The French thriller “The Mad Women’s Ball” (Amazon Prime, streaming) concerns a woman in the late 19th century who can hear the dead and is hospitalized. Lou de Lange and Gregoire Bonnet star with Melanie Laurent, who also co-wrote and directed.  

The Korean import “Squid Games” (Netflix, streaming) is a series about a debtor’s prison where inmates are forced to play brutal versions of children’s games. 

Kristen Bell, Jackie Tohn and Luke Youngblood provide the voices of the singing birds on the new preschool animated series “Do, Re & Mi” (Amazon Prime, streaming). 

“Chicago Party Aunt” (Netflix, streaming) may be the first adult animated comedy based on a Twitter account. It concerns a bawdy woman voiced by Lauren Ash. RuPaul Charles and Ike Barinholtz are also part of the voice cast.

A third season begins for “Sex Education” (Netflix, streaming) the series about a student whose mother (Gillian Anderson) is a sex therapist. Jemima Kirke joins the cast as new headmistress.

“The God’s Honest Truth with Lenard ‘Charlamagne’ McKelvey” (Comedy Central, 10 p.m.) is a new weekly late night series from radio star Charlamagne The God, addressing social issues 

With recent UFO reports, there may be more truth than usual in “The Proof is Out There” (History, 10 p.m.), as it begins a second season. 

“Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Making the Team” (CMT, 9 p.m.) also starts a new season, with a larger field of contestants. 

Dan Savage, Gillian Text and Anne Applebaum are on a new “Real Time with Bill Maher” (HBO, 10 p.m.). 

“SurrealEstate” (Syfy, 10 p.m.) ends its first season. 

There are only four people left on “Big Brother” (CBS, 8 p.m.) which determines a new head of household from among them tonight (because Sunday’s broadcast is being bumped by the Emmys). 

“SparkShorts” (Disney+, streaming) has an animated tale about a wrestling-loving grandmother. 

Joanna charts a new path for the future on “Burden of Truth” (CW, 9 p.m.).

The made for TV thriller “My Husband’s Secret Brother” (Lifetime Movie Network, 8 p.m.) concerns a widow’s questionable new boyfriend. 

Blake takes Amanda under his wing on “Dynasty” (CW, 9 p.m.).

“River Monsters: Deadliest Man-eaters” (Animal Planet, 8 p.m.) investigates aquatic killers in Central America. 

The Juul story is told on a new vaping documentary on “The New York Times Presents” (FX, 10 p.m.).
