Roger Catlin is a freelance writer living in Washington, D.C., whose work appears weekly in The Washington Post.

He worked many years at The Hartford Courant in Connecticut, as reporter, TV critic, rock music critic and visual arts reporter. He is still a member in good standing of the Television Critics Association, where he is was a former board member.
After hosting Friday Morning Rock for more than a decade on WRTC radio in Hartford, he how hosts Friday Night Rock weekly on Radio CPR, 101.7 FM in Washington, whose shows also run online.
Born in Detroit, he’s a graduate of the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
