It’s preceded by a replay of “Kevin Hart: Seriously Funny” (Comedy Central, 10 p.m.).

College football takes over primetime with Wisconsin vs. Alabama (ABC, 8 p.m.) and Texas at Notre Dame (NBC, 7:30 p.m.).

There’s more college football  tonight over on cable, with  Arizona State at Texas A&M (ESPN, 7 p.m.), Louisiana-Lafayette at Kentucky (ESPNU, 7 p.m.), New Mexico State at Florida (SEC Network, 7:30 p.m.), UNLV at Northern Illinois (CBS Sports, 7:30 p.m.), Texas State at Florida State (ESPNews, 8 p.m.) and Mississippi State at Southern Mississippi (Fox Sports 1, 10 p.m.).

In the made for TV “River Raft Nightmare” (Lifetime, 8 p.m.) a mother-daughter trip turns sour after they meet three escaped convicts. Brigid Brannagh, Leah Bateman and Ivan Sergei 4star.

Cassie goes back to dating on “Survivor’s Remorse” (Starz, 9:30 p.m.).

It’s not so much a bachelor pad that a dude wants on “Tiny House Hunting” (FYI, 9 p.m.), it’s more of a bachelor sticky note.

The AA meetings do no good in keeping Walter out of trouble on “Blunt Talk” (Starz, 9 p.m.).

The notion that the “Star Wars” details may not have been entirely truthful is tested on “MythBusters” (Discovery, 9 p.m.).

Reese Witherspoon takes a hike in “Wild” (HBO, 8 p.m.), making its premium cable debut. Also new on cable is “St. Vincent” (Showtime, 9 p.m.) with Melissa McCarthy and Bill Murray.

A Washington D.C. family tries to go off the grid in Hawaii on “Unplugged Nation” (FYI, 10 p.m.). Of course I’m thinking: Obama.

“The Last Goodbye” (Lifetime Movie Network, 10 and 10:30 p.m.) is a more maudlin medium show.

“Instant Jam” (CMT, 10 p.m.) is a show where stars show up unexpectedly and give a show. Tonight, it’s Darius Rucker in his hometown of Charleston, S.C.

If you missed it earlier this week, all three episodes of “Big Blue Live” (PBS, 8, 9 and 10 p.m., check local listings) are replayed, though it’s no longer live.

The fun of “Funny or Die Presents America’s Next Weatherman” (TBS, 11 p.m.) is watching them go through torture. Tonight: makeovers in the dark and participation in a fashion show. Brad Goreski helps out.

Will overstays his welcome at Olivia’s house on a new “Cedar Cove” (Halllmark, 8 p.m.).

“Murder Made Me Famous” (Reelz, 9 p.m.) is about Drew Peterson.

Finally, “The Haunting Of…” (Lifetime Movie Network, 9 p.m.) has someone deserving of a scare: Patti Stanger.

Oh dear, it’s on again: The 2015 MTV Video Music Awards (MTV, 6 p.m.), which seems so six days ago.

The long career of actress Gladys Cooper is marked on Turner Classic Movies with “Now, Voyager” (8 p.m.), “Mrs. Parkington” (10 p.m.), “The Pirate” (12:15 p.m.). Much later, the TCM Underground returns with the 1967 biker movies “The Born Losers” (TCM, 2 a.m.), which features the first appearance of Billy Jack by Tom Laughlin and a cameo of Jane Russell; and “The Glory Stompers” (TCM, 4 a.m.) with Dennis Hopper.

Plenty of movie marathons including “Rocky” (El Rey, 6 p.m.), “Rocky II” (El Rey, 8:45 p.m.), “Rocky III” (El Rey, 11:30 p.m.), “Rocky IV” (El Rey, 1:45 a.m.) and “Rocky V” (El Rey, 3:45 a.m.). Then they’ll all replay throughout the three day weekend.

“Ghostbusters” (Sundance, 1, 6 and 11 p.m.) and “Ghostbusters 2” (Sundance, 3:30 and 8:30 p.m. and 1:30 a.m.) play interchangeably for most of the day.

An animated double feature has “Tangled” (ABC Family, 7:15 p.m.) and “Finding Nemo” (ABC Family, 9:30 p.m.)

Baseball today includes Rays at Yankees (Fox Sports 1, 1 p.m.), Pirates at Cardinals (Fox Sports 1, 4 p.m.), Twins at Astros (MLB, 7 p.m.) and Rangers at Angels (MLB, 10 p.m.).

Third round play continues in The U.S. Open (ESPN2, 11 a.m.).
