Santa Clarita DietThe new “Santa Clarita Diet” (Netflix, streaming) strikes nearly the right tone in trying to be a comedy about a suburban mom and real estate agent suddenly turned zombie. Drew Barrymore portrays the affected mom, whose new condition is heralded by an ungodly amount of vomit and the lack of a heartbeat. After a couple of signature tough guy roles, Timothy Olyphant is difficult to take at first as a husband so accommodating to his wife, he agrees to help provide her fresh meat. The rest of the neighborhood is cheery enough to make you want to stay around for a few episodes or more. At least until the next blood feast.

Speaking of monster stories, “Trumped: Inside the Greatest Political Upset of All Time” (Showtime, 9 p.m.) is a collection of footage and outtakes from “The Circus” that will try to show Mark Halperin and John Heileman were right all along about the election of the 45th president. I imagine there won’t be a smash cut of all the times they said it would never happen.

The second season finale of “Crazy Ex Girlfriend” (The CW, 9 p.m.) ends on the verge of Rebecca’s marriage to Josh. And her estranged father shows up.
