Of the many new movies premiering today, the standout looks to be Clea DuVall’s “Happiest Season” (Hulu, streaming) with Kristen Stewart Mackenzie Davis and Dan Levy, about a pair of girlfriends who aren’t out when it comes time for holiday family visits.

There’s a similar premise to another new film, “Uncle Frank” (Amazon, streaming), whose cast includes Paul Bettany, Stephen Root, Margo Martindale, Steve Zahn and Judy Greer.

A third big ticket holiday film stars Kurt Russell as Santa Claus opposite Goldie Hawn in the sequel “The Christmas Chronicles: Part Two” (Netflix, streaming).

Taylor Swift is listed as director to “Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions” (Disney+, streaming), in which she sings and talks about the songs from her latest album in a Hudson Valley hideaway, with appearances of Aaron Dessner of The National, Jack Antonoff of Bleachers and Justin Vernon of Bon Iver.

Not sure who asked for a revived “Saved by the Bell” (Peacock, streaming), but here it is, with a new group of high schoolers amid a lot of familiar faces from the first go-round, including Mario Lopez, Elizabeth Berkley, Tiffani Thiessen and Mark-Paul Gosselaar.
