Sunday TV: Different Kind of Tiger King

There’s a dragon attack alert on “The Watch” (BBC America, 8 p.m.). 

“The Rookie” (ABC, 10 p.m.) tries some community policing to rebuild the department’s reputation. 

A new season starts for the deluded investigators of “Mountain Monsters” (Travel, 10 p.m.). They follow that showcase for the gullible, “Expedition Bigfoot” (Travel, 9 p.m.). 

“NCIS: Los Angeles” (CBS, 9 p.m.) looks into the order of a man about to reveal the source of a counterfeiting ring. 

A chemical tanker explosion off of the Virginia coast is explored in “Disasters at Sea” (Smithsonian, 8 p.m.). 

“Lone Star Law” (Animal Planet, 9 p.m.) finds poached birds in an abandoned boat.

Kenya has a surprise engagement dinner on “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” (Bravo, 8 p.m.).

“The Nanny Murders” (Lifetime, 8 p.m.) is a made-for-TV thriller about a man who hires a nanny and makes unwanted advances. 

The Gallaghers aren’t warming to their new neighbors on “Shameless” (Showtime, 9 p.m.). 

“Trafficked with Mariana Van Zeller” (National Geographic, 8 p.m.) looks into the black market of tigers. 

Ray Romano plays “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire” (ABC, 9 p.m.). 

Turner Classic Movies has an Anthony Hopkins double feature, “The Remains of the Day” (8 p.m.) and “84 Charing Cross Road” (10:30 p.m.). The midnight silent movie is “The Dumb Girl of Portici” (12:45 a.m.), followed by two from Pedro Almodóvar, “Dark Habits” (2:45 a.m.) and “What Have I Done to Deserve This?” (4:45 a.m.).

NFL’s Wildcard Weekend ends with Cleveland at Pittsburgh (NBC, 8 p.m.), preceded by Baltimore at Tennessee (ABC, ESPN, 1:05 p.m.) and Chicago at New Orleans (CBS, 4:40 p.m.).

Pro basketball has Utah at Detroit (NBA, 3 p.m.) and Miami at Boston (NBA, 7 p.m.).

Men’s college hoops includes Providence at Xavier (Fox, 11 a.m.), Cincinnati at Wichita State (ESPN2, 4:30 p.m.), Colgate at Boston (CBS Sports, 6 p.m.) and Loyola Chicago at Drake (ESPN2, 6:30 p.m.). 

Women’s games include Dayton at George Washington (ESPNU, noon), Davidson at Rhode Island (CBS Sports, noon), Saint Joseph’s at La Salle (CBS Sports, 2 p.m.), Rutgers at Ohio State (ESPNU, 2 p.m.), Iowa State at Texas Tech (ESPNU, 4 p.m.) and South Carolina at Kentucky (ESPN, 5 p.m.).

Final rounds are played in golf’s Tournament of Champions (NBC, 4 p.m.).
