She was the leader of the pack the first week of “Dancing with the Stars,” but blanking out, forgetting her routine and freezing during tango to “Mission: Impossible” Monday was unforgivable to viewers.
So combined with a nosedive in judges scores five points from last week’s 26 to this week’s 21, Chynna Phillips was the latest star to be eliminated in the show this season Tuesday.
“I’m disappointed,” the onetime member of Wilson Phillips (and wife of Daniel Baldwin) said after the announcement of her ouster. “I’m sad, but I have to take responsibility. I messed up.”
“Blackouts have happened to all of us,” her partner Tony Dovolani said.
In the bottom two with her was Rob Kardashian who tied for third place in judges’ votes with 24 for his routine with Cheryl Burke. But like Phillips, he was likely to be less well known than their partners.
Still, Phillips’ overall score from judges over four weeks averaged third overall, ahead of a half dozen remaining celebrities.
