Three days after Halloween, two days after the first of November and the Day of the Dead comes the first of what will be an onslaught of Yuletide movies.
None will be jumping the gun quite so much as “Christmas Song” (Hallmark, 8 p.m.), the first of the bunch. It stars Natasha Henstridge as a music teacher who has to compete for her job when her high school merges with another in New York.
New on premium cable is Matt Damon in “We Bought a Zoo” (HBO, 8 p.m.), the remake of “21 Jump Street” (Starz, 9 p.m.) and “This Means War” (Cinemax, 10 p.m.).
Thoroughbred racing’s richest race is run in Santa Anita, Calif., The Breeders’ Cup (NBC, 8 p.m.).
But mostly it’s all about college football. In prime time, it’s Alabama at LSU (CBS, 8 p.m.) and Oklahoma State at Kansas State (ABC, 8 p.m.),
Daniel Craig, Judi Dench and Javier Bardem are guests on “The Graham Norton Show” (BBC America, 8 p.m.).
The actress Merle Oberon is featured on Turner Classic Movies, in “Wuthering Heights” (8 p.m.), “A Night in Paradise” (10 p.m.), “The Divorce of Lady X” (11:30 p.m.), “The Cowboy and the Lady” (1:15 a.m.) and “The Dark Angel” (3 a.m.).
