Vogue magazine has been reluctant to celebrate anniversaries in the past, because they always want to look forward, Anna Wintour says in the documentary “In Vogue” The Editor’s Eye” (HBO, 9 p.m.).
But for the 120th anniversary, they gathered the living fashion editors from the past several decades to talk about their reigns (of terror usally), famous shots and how things have changed. What becomes clear is that just about all of the editors are characters, who might have enlightened any number of reality shows, but have been mostly slaving over complicated photo shoots that were a lot less monumental than they think they are.
In the new “Panic 9-1-1” (A&E, 9 p.m.) crews wait around for dramatic emergency calls, so they can follow them in real time. Like the two little girls who fall beneath the ice in tonight’s debut.

On “Parks & Recreation” (NBC, 9:30 p.m.), Jerry throws a Christmas party and introduces everybody to his wife, played by Christie Brinkley. The party on “The Office” (NBC, 9 p.m.) is kind of a flop.

The animated “Unsupervised” (FX, 11:30 p.m.), a sort of “Beavis and Butt-head” for the modern age, returns for a second season.
I forgot that the Jim Carrey Scooge vehicle was titled “Disney’s A Christmas Carol” (ABC Family, 8 p.m.). Which makes it sound like the one with Goofy.
Crime thriller author Lee Child is guest programmer on Turner Classic Movies. His choices: “Casablanca” (8 p.m.), “The Third Man” (10 p.m.), “Days of Heaven” (midnight) and “The Dam Builders” (1:45 a.m.).
NBA action includes Knicks at Heat (TNT, 8 p.m.) and Mavericks at Suns (TNT, 10:30 p.m.).
In college basketball it’s Vanderbilt at Xavier (ESPNU, 7:30 p.m.) and Long Beach State at Syracuse (ESPN, 8 p.m.).
