preachers-daughtersA special heartache for preachers are their occasionally wayward children, whose actions sometime reflect poorly on their family and profession.

Of the young women followed on the new “Preachers’ Daughters” (Lifetime, 10 p.m.), one dreams out loud of becoming a porn star; another has to break the news that the baby she is not quite sure of the identity of the father of her out of wedlock baby.

But it’s not just the kind of young women who would be normally be found on “Bad Girls Club” (Oxygen, 8 p.m.) or “Teen Mom 2” (MTV, 8 p.m.) on “Preachers’ Daughters.”

There is also a teen girl who only wants to go out on a date. But not before her preacher mom makes her sit through a sex lecture and has the boyfriend literally sign a no-touch agreement. It’s sleazy that the producers provide popsicles when sisters talk of oral sex. But the fact that her father preacher is the former TV wrestler Nikita Koloff is kind of awesome.

Elsewhere, another 20 chefs gather, this time in Las Vegas before a live audience, for a new session of “Hell’s Kitchen” (Fox, 8 p.m.), putting up with the bullying bellowing  of Gordon Ramsay.

And just as those hopeful chefs arrive, a first season winner is named from among the four finalists on “The Taste” (ABC, 9 p.m.), with D.C. resturaunt king Jose Andres joining in as guest judge.

Visiting a place where overpopulation isn’t unusual may just be the place for the Duggars to go vacationing. The new season of  “19 Kids and Counting: Duggars Do Asia” (TLC, 9 p.m.) begins in Japan.

One kiss continues to fuel the story line on “New Girl” (Fox, 9 p.m.).

Conclusions come for two miniseries: “Hindenburg: The Last Flight” (Encore, 9 p.m.) and “Ring of Fire” (Reelz, 8 p.m.).

Seems like every “Celebrity Wife Swap” (ABC, 8 p.m.) is a must-see. Tonight: Gilbert Gottfried switching with Alan Thicke.

A two hour “Dance Moms” (Lifetime, 8 p.m.) seems like too much of a bad thing, though.

The new series “Family Trade” (GSN, 8 p.m.) follows a family car dealership that takes in trades.

Contestants on “The Face” (Oxygen, 9 p.m.) shoot a shoe commercial.

Birth is imminent for one of the women on “DC Cupcakes” (TLC, 10 p.m.).

The Marilyn musical is headed to Broadway on “Smash” (NBC, 10 p.m.), whose ratings hit an all-time low last week, reaching just 2.6 million viewers.

Western Justice is the theme tonight on Turner Classic Movies, with “Hang ‘Em High” (8 p.m.), “The Westerner” (10 p.m.), “The Man from Colorado” (midnight), “Tall in the Saddle” (2 a.m.) and “The Law West of Tombstone” (5 a.m.).

It’s Boston at Pittsburgh (NBC Sports, 7:30 p.m.) in NHL action; in basketball, Atlanta at Miami (NBA, 7:30 p.m.).

A few finals in men’s college basketball today include Mount St. Mary’ vs. LIU- Brooklyn (ESPN, 7 p.m.) in the Northeast Conference championship; Wright State at Valparaiso (ESPN, 9 p.m.) in the Horizon League championship; and South Dakota State vs. North Dakota State (ESPN2, 9 p.m.) in the Summit League championship. In the Big East first round, it’s Seton Hall vs. South Florida (ESPNU, 7 p.m.) and Rutgers vs. DePaul (ESPNU, 9 p.m.).

In women’s play it’s South Dakota State vs. South Dakota (ESPNU, 3:30 p.m.) in the Summit League championship, and Notre Dame vs. Connecticut (ESPN, 7 p.m.) in the Big East championship.

We’re moving into round two of the World Baseball Classic, with Netherlands vs. Japan (MLB, 6 a.m.), Italy vs. Dominican Republic (MLB, 1 p.m.) and Puerto Rico vs. United States (MLB, 8 p.m.). Wait, aren’t they a possession of the U.S.? Don’t we win by default?
