“Nature” (PBS, 8 p.m.) is often about exotic or little seen animals in exotic areas, but tonight’s episode is about the deer eating your garden right now. A century ago, there were less than 1 million deer in North America; now nearly 30 million. There are so many in Cayuga Heights, N.Y., residents got cameras to capture their everyday behavior.
Segments also cover Key deer, tinier versions of the species on Florida islands; as well as albinos, or white ghost deers.
The remaining three — Angie Miller, Candice Glover and Kree Harrison — get to go on their hometown visits with the usual hoopla. Plus they have to each sing three songs — one a judge’s choice, another a choice by Jimmy Iovine, and another by the producers. There will still be time for Mariah Carey to premiere her new video “Beautiful” featuring Miguel.
The two with the most votes tonight will go to next week’s finals. But the bigger showdown may in ratings when “The Voice” (NBC, 8 p.m.) goes head to head with it for the first time this season to unveil its own Top 12 after this week’s live shows.

On the new “Model Employee” (VH1, 10:30 p.m.), women compete to be the face of a Vegas resort, but the competition involves working at the resort as maids and in the kitchen.
