The new series “Graceland” (USA, 10 p.m.) begins its annoyance by naming itself after Elvis’ home for no particular reason. The place it names is a super-expensive beach house where agents from the FBI, DEA and Customs all live, sort of helping eachother out and otherwise surfing.
The series begins as a new guy played by Aaron Tveit gets his hazing has new guy, in part from the senior agent, played by Daniel Sunjata of “Rescue Me.” Like a lot of USA adventures, there’s an awful lot of lightheartedness before they get down to business, which is an OK yarn when it arrives. It comes alongside the final season of “Burn Notice” (USA, 9 p.m.).
Like “Being Human” which is about a ghost, a vampire and a werewolf trying to reform, “In the Flesh” (BBC America, 10 p.m.) is about a zombie who is trying to be a non-zombie, going to self-help group meetings and trying to not be a former flesh-eater. They call themselves victims of Partially Deceased Syndrome and wear contact lenses to not give themselves away).
Kieren Walker stars as a teen who struggles with the syndrome, in a series that’s light-hearted as it is succinct: It plays out over three consecutive nights, concluding Saturday.
“Race to the Scene” (Reelz, 9 p.m.) is a low grade competition loosely tied to past movie hits from which that they don’t have enough money to use clips. It gives some work to host Dolph Lundgren.
Speaking of actin, The Rock hosts another variant of “Amazing Race” action on steroids, “The Hero” (TNT, 8 p.m.), from a competition in Panama. Viewers help determine the $1 million winner. It comes with another extreme competition, “72 Hours” (TNT, 9 p.m.), where they drop contestants into remote island off of Fiji armed only with a GPS and a bottle of water in search for a stash of cash.
The NBA Finals begins in prime time with San Antonio at Miami (ABC, 9 p.m.). And the primetime prequel “Jimmy Kimmel Live: Game Night” (ABC, 8 p.m.) begins its seasonal run. His first guests include Will Smith and Shaquille O’Neal.
“Hannibal” (NBC, 10 p.m.) was finally picked up for a second season last week. So you can continue to, or begin, watching the current episode.
A second company is victim to the forced downsizing for entertainment that is “Does Someone Have to Go?” (Fox, 9 p.m.).
Last week’s premiere of the Anne Heche comedy “Save Me” (NBC, 8 and 8:30 p.m.) was the lowest rated new show for the network in a year. It should save itself.
The celebration of small town funny takes place on the side by side “Showville” (AMC, 9 p.m.) and “Small Town Security” (AMC, 10 and 10:30 p.m.).
A season finale comes for the comedy “Men at Work” (TBS, 10 p.m.).
A new season comes for “L.A. Hair” (WEtv, 10 p.m.), about a Hollywood salon.
Gordon Ramsay enlists celebrity guest judges, Jeremy Sisto and Maria Menounos, to help eliminate people on “Hell’s Kitchen” (Fox, 8 p.m.).
Jon Stewart hosts his last episode of “The Daily Show” (Comedy Central, 11 p.m.) before taking the summer off for another project. John Oliver will take over the desk in the interim.
Buncha monster movies tonight on Turner Classic Movies, “Bride of Frankenstein” (8 p.m.), “Godzilla, King of the Monsters!” (9:30 p.m.), “Creature from the Black Lagoon” (11 p.m.), “It Came From Beneath the Sea” (12:30 a.m.), “King Kong” (2 a.m.) and “Cyclops” (4 a.m.).
In the Stanley Cup Playoffs, it’s Chicago at Los Angeles (NBC Sports Network, 9 p.m.).
