Writers of the great film noir classics get the spotlight Fridays this month on Turner Classic Movies. It begins, of course, with Damon Runyon and “The Maltese Falcon” (8 p.m.). Then comes “City Streets” (TCM, 9:30 p.m.), “After the Thin Man” (TCM, 11 p.m.), “The Glass Key” (TCM, 1 a.m.), “The Maltese Falcon” (TCM, 2:30 a.m.) and “Satan Met a Lady” (TCM, 4:30 a.m.).
“Da Vinci’s Demons” (Starz, 9 p.m.) ends its first season, even as plans continue for season two.
“Continuum” (Syfy, 10 p.m.) returns for a second season premiere.

A millionaire ends up in a trunk on “Dateline” (NBC, 8 p.m.). A lifesaving drug for babies with liver disease is discussed on “Rock Center with Brian Williams” (NBC, 10 p.m.).
