ModernDads“Modern Dads” (A&E, 10:30 p.m.) certainly isn’t the first reality show to be fascinated by the fact that some fathers stay home to care for kids while the wife goes off to earn bread. There’s even been a failed sitcom about it, “Guys with Kids.”

The new one is about four guys in Austin who are pals and try to maintain their cool by wearing sunglasses. It’s not clear whether they purposely cast goofy guys or whether being on the camera brings out the goofiness. But there’s something about these guys that wears thin very quickly. That they know how to change diapers shouldn’t make any of them heroes.

They hope to get a boost from “Duck Dynasty” (A&E, 10 p.m.), huge in its season premiere last week. Tonight, they prepare Martin for his first date.

The two best shows of the night are on opposite one another. On “The Bridge” (FX, 10 p.m.), the relationship of Charlotte and Ray  isn’t based on trust. On “Broadchurch” (BBC America, 10 p.m.), an unlikely suspect emerges.

Joel McHale marks the 500th episode of “The Soup” (E!, 10 p.m.), with a double helping from both coasts and way more celebrity guests than usual.

Once, she looked unstoppable, now Helen is up for eviction along with Elissa. She’s got a chance for the power of veto, but hasn’t been so lucky in the competitions so far this season on “Big Brother” (CBS, 8 p.m.).

The final acts advance to the semifinals on “America’s Got Talent” (NBC, 9 p.m.), with Monday’s final dozen acts summarized at 8.

The remaining half dozen on “MasterChef” (Fox, 9 p.m.) must recreate the top dishes at an L.A. eatery. It’s restaurant wars, meanwhile, on “Top Chef Masters” (Bravo, 10 p.m.) where Busy Philipps is guest judge.

I hope they don’t show all the Sturgis competitions on the special “Biker Battles” (CMT, 8 p.m.).

The V3 scandal comes to a head in the season finale of “Necessary Roughness” (USA, 10 p.m.).

It’s the second to last episode of “Camp” (NBC, 10 p.m.), so naturally there’s a bachelor party.

On “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” (TLC, 9 p.m.), wedding plans for Mama June and Sugar Bear continues apace.

Good movies tonight include “O Brother, Where Art Thou?” (AMC, 9 p.m.) and “Philadelphia” (Sundance, 8 p.m.).

William Holden gets the spotlight all day on Turner Classic Movies with “Miss Grant Takes Richmond” (6 a.m.), “Boots Malone” (7:30 a.m.), “Force of Arms” (9:30 a.m.), “Executive Suite” (11:30 a.m.), “The Moon is Blue” (1:30 p.m.), “Picnic” (3:30 p.m.), “The Devil’s Brigade” (5:30 p.m.), “The Bridge on the River Kwai” (8 p.m.), “Born Yesterday” (11 p.m.), “The Wild Bunch” (1 a.m.) and “Wild Rovers” (3:30 a.m.). Plus there’s a 1976 interview from the “Tonight” show captured on “Carson on TCM” (7:45 p.m.). But, really, no “Hollywood Boulevard”?
