almosthuman04For all its futuristic hype, the new series “Almost Human” (Fox, 8 p.m.) is pretty much another buddy cop series that begins with one partner really disliking the other. The other in this case is a robot, a cyborg so realistic that it keeps the special effects budget super-low – they can use a human to play him.

Unfortunately, the actor is Michael Ealy, whose skills go beyond the merely mechanical and whose presence serves only to remind you how good he was in the before-its-time Showtime series “Sleeper Cell.” Karl Urban is the gruff partner, channelling every cowboy and cop cliche he can muster. For some reason (probably the budget), 2048 looks pretty much the same as 2013. J.J. Abrams has his name on this, but it’s no “Lost” or even “Fringe.”

Its regular time slot will be Monday; tonight it slides the only remaining animated shows to a later time: “The Simpsons” (Fox, 9 p.m.), which features Elisabeth Moss as guest voice, and “Family Guy” (Fox, 9:30 p.m.).

In the end, it was a pretty funny show, with an unforgettable central character in ego-mad Kenny Powers. It looks like “Eastbound & Down” (HBO, 10 p.m.) will end with a modest episode, not one fitting for a four season run.

“The Good Wife” (CBS, 9 p.m.) takes on the immigration issue in an episode where America Ferrera returns.

The first season of “The Paradise” concludes on “Masterpiece Classic” (PBS, 9 p.m.).

David Morrissey’s Governor returns, eyepatch at the ready, on “The Walking Dead” (AMC, 9 p.m.).

It’s Kansas City at Denver (NBC, 8:20 p.m.) on Sunday Night Football.  Earlier NFL action includes Washington at Philadelphia (Fox, 1 p.m.), Baltimore at Chicago (CBS, 1 p.m.) and Green Bay at Giants (Fox, 4:25 p.m.).

Amid the crush of 50th anniversary assassination documentaries, take a break from Zapruder explication with the more heartfelt “Letters to Jackie: Remembering President Kennedy” (TLC, 9 p.m.), which recalls the outpouring to the widowed First Lady after her mother was murdered.

Challenges on “The Amazing Race” (HBO, 8 p.m.) range from the desert to white water rafting.

The season finale of Stephen Merchant’s painful and funny “Hello Ladies” (HBO, 10:30 p.m.) may also be the last episode; it hasn’t been given a renewal as of yet. Hope it does come back.

Saul deals with political fallout on “Homeland” (Showtime, 9 p.m.) while Carrie and Quinn pursue a key suspect.

The doctor decides to film his experiments on “Masters of Sex” (Showtime, 10 p.m.), (which, come to think of it, could be a way to fund their research).

The language of “Mike Tyson: Undisputed Truth” (HBO, 7:25 p.m.) is probably not suited for Sundays.

Chalky is on the lam on “Boardwalk Empire” (HBO, 9 p.m.).

Brothers Michael and Bryan Voltaggio share their ideas on turkey and the fixings on “Voltaggios Thanksgiving” (Cooking Channel, 8 p.m.).

“Johnny Eager” (TCM, 8 p.m.), meet “Johnny Apollo (TCM, 10 p.m.).
