I guess good series are where you find them and in the case of “Chosen” (Crackle.com) it happens to be online.
I’m just jumping into this show as its second season starts today — with all of its episodes available on line should you want to binge the first day. Chad Michael Murray, above, joins the cast of the show about a deadly kill-or-be-killed game that Milo Ventimiglia started (and is now co-producer). It’s all about figuring out things fast and there are some good tense curves in the opening episodes (also: a few commercials; you have to pay for this thing somehow).
Anyway, not a bad dramatic series even though it’s one you have to watch on your computer.
There’s a lot of sorting out on “Scandal” (ABC, 10 p.m.) after last week’s big episode, according to people who have actually been keeping track. I’m sure not one of them.
Yet another “It’s a Wonderful Life” variation is tried, this time on “The Big Bang Theory” (CBS, 8 p.m.).
Time for April’s wedding on “Grey’s Anatomy” (ABC, 9 p.m.). And somebody dies on “Reign” (The CW, 9 p.m.) with Nostradamus calling it.
It’s Christmas on “The Millers” (CBS, 8:30 p.m.) and “The Michael J. Fox Show” (NBC, 9 p.m.), on which Sting appears, with a lute.
“The Sing Off” (NBC, 8 p.m.) provides its fifth hour this week. We surrender.
Ashley Tisdale guest stars on “The Crazy Ones” (CBS, 9 p.m.).
Jennifer Nettles and Enrique Iglesias sing while we wait to see who’s kicked off “The X Factor” (Fox,
The six remaining designers on “Project Runway All Stars” (Lifetime, 9 p.m.) have to design a gown at QVC. And then maybe try to sell it.
The Soul Train Awards (BET, 9 p.m.) gets a replay, as does the “Grammy Nominations Concert” (TV Guide Network, 8 p.m.).
Some people look forward to this as a favorite Christmas movie: “Love Actually” (AMC, 8 p.m.).
Also on tonight: “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation” (ABC Family, 7 p.m.), Bill Murray in “Scrooged” (ABC Family, 9 p.m.).
Turner Classic Movies shows a night of movies about (fictional) directors with “Cinema Paradiso” (8 p.m.), “Sullivan’s Travels” (10:15 p.m.), “Two Weeks in Another Town” (midnight), “What Price Hollywood?” (2 a.m.) and “Alex in Wonderland” (3:45 a.m.).
