It took a while for the new “Enlisted” (Fox, 9:30 p.m.) to take its place on the network lineup. Geoff Stults, who pops up in any number of failed plots, is back as an Army guy reunited with his ne’er do well brothers, also in the service, played by Chris Lowell and Parker Young. There’s a good energy to their chemistry, and the first episodes of “Enlisted” crackles along agreeably enough.
On the new “Helix” (Syfy, 10 p.m.), scientists from the Centers for Disease Control try to stop a fast moving bug, only to find themselves threatened as well. Billy Campbell stars.
Finally, someone puts their money where their Yetti is in the new “$10 Million Bigfoot Bounty” (Spike, 10 p.m.) in which Dean Cain signs a check if people can actually find the beast.
Too early for Valentine’s Day candy in stores? It’s also time for the Valentine’s Day episode of “The Carrie Diaries” (The CW, 8 pm.).
Can’t be too much of a career boost for Oprah Winfrey to identify you as officially lost. Such is the fate of Ralph Macchio, Peter Scolari, Kenny Logins and Tia and Tamera Mowry on “Oprah: Where Are They Now?” (OWN, 8 p.m.).
The centenary of the famed tenor is noted in “Richard Tucker at 100: An Opera Celebration,” making its debut on “Live from Lincoln Center” (PBS, 9 p.m., check local listings). Among the performers doing the works by Verdi, Rossini, Donizetti, Puccini and Offenbach are Renee Fleming, Stephanie Blythe , Susan Graham, Eric Owens and Stephen Costello.
Golden Globes weekend begins with a special, “Going for Gold” (NBC, 8 p.m.) in which Matt Lauer involves various big names connected with nominations, including Bradly Cooper, Brad Pitt, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Bryan Cranston, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Idris Elba and Oscar Isaac. A second season begins for “Banshee” (Cinemx, 10 pm.), out of the chaos of the season one cliffhanger shootout.

The month-long Friday night salute to science on Turner Classic Movies quickly turns to science fiction with “Bride of Frankenstein” (8 p.m.), “Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde” (9:30 p.m.), “The Thing from Another World” (11:30 p.m.), “Forbidden Planet” (1:15 a.m.) and “Solaris” (3 a.m.).
