American-Dream-Builders-NBC-600x400Bringing back that Sunday night tradition of “Extreme Home Makeover” is the slight variation “American Dream Builders” (NBC, 8 p.m.). Instead of one family’s home being improved in a whirlwind week, there are two, and they’re done by competing teams of designers and builders, most of whom have such big egos, they end up arguing amongst themselves. One team is picked winner and the other a loser, but mostly the families are happy to have their places redone. Nate Berkus hosts.

“Girls” (HBO,10 p.m.) has had a pretty strong season, so it may end it tonight pretty well, if Hannah can handle Adam’s impending opening on Broadway and her own current lack of a job. Also, big stuff happens for Marnie, Shoshanna and Jenna.

You will learn a few things you didn’t know about the 50th State on two episodes of “Wild Hawaii” (Nat Geo Wild, 8 and 9 p.m.) which cover the burbling volcanoes, the strange fauna, and its turtles, frogs and geese.

New to TV movie-making is one Rick Santorum, failed presidential candidate. He’s executive producer of  “The Redemption of Henry Myers” (Hallmark Movie Channel, 9 p.m.), a cowboy movie about a bank robber who finds Jesus when a family takes him in after a shooting. Few TV films have used so much readings from the Bible. Drew Waters and Erin Bethea star.

“Drop Dead Diva” (Lifetime, 9 p.m.returns for its sixth and final season with a two hour episode.

Fred Armisen is on TV most days of the week now, as bandleader for “Late Night with Seth Meyers,” star of “Portlandia,” and many reruns of “Saturday Night Live.” Tonight, he’s a guest star on “House of Lies” (Showtime, 10 p.m.).

It’s the season finale for the altogether embarrassing “Rich Kids of Beverly Hills” (E!, 10 p.m.).

Red Hot Chili Peppers are profiled in “Music Mavericks” (Ovation, 7 p.m.).

On “The Walking Dead” (AMC, 9 p.m.), the second to last episode of a season is usually one of the best. We’ve reached that here.

Of course they weren’t going to eliminate Brenchel last week on “The Amazing Race” (CBS,8 p.m.), even though they came in last. After all, being on reality shows is their job. They try to catch up in Shri Lanka.

It could be worse for them. They could be on “Naked and Afraid” (Discovery, 8,9 and 10 p.m.).

To call it “Chrisley Knows Best” (E!, 10:30 p.m.) only encourages him.

Fiona violates her probation on “Shameless” (Showtime, 9 p.m.).

The first weekend of March Madness brings Stanford vs. Kansas (CBS, 12:15 p.m.), Kentucky vs. Wichita State (2:45 p.m.), North Carolina vs. Iowa State (CBS, 5:15 p.m.). Mercer vs. Tennessee (TNT, 6:10 p.m.), Stephen F. Austin vs. UCLA (TBS, 7:10 p.m.), Baylor vs. Creighton (truTV, 7:40 p.m.), Memphis vs. Virginia (TNT, 8:40 p.m.) and Gonzaga vs.Arizona (TBS, 9:40 p.m.).

In the NIT, Illinois at Clemson (ESPN, 11 a.m.), Saint Mary’s at Minnesota (ESPN2, 3 p.m.) and Southern Miss at Missouri (ESPNU, 5 p.m.).

An Ingrid Bergman/Cary Grant double feature offers “Indiscreet” (TCM, 8 p.m.) and “Notorious” (TCM, 10 p.m.).

Hockey includes the Wild at Red Wings (NBC Sports, 7:30 p.m.).
