After that, the mesmerizing jazz and funk from Chicago’s Hypnotic Brass Ensemble is engagingly presented in Reuben Atlas’s documentary “Brothers Hypnotic” on “Independent Lens” (PBS, 10 p.m., check local listings). The eight talented brothers are sons of the influential Phil Cohran, an arts leader whose avant-garde style owes to Sun Ra and Coltrane. It was also of its time, while the music of the thoughtful young men of the group sound completely of the moment.
The national championship is up for grabs in the NCAA men’s basketball final, with Connecticut vs. Kentucky (CBS, 9 p.m.) from Dallas, and your brackets long since in shambles.
The other big network competitions are all in singing, with the final battle rounds of “The Voice” (NBC, 8 p.m.) and dancing, with the latest round of “Dancing with the Stars” (ABC, 8 p.m.). Billy Dee Williams wasn’t voted out last week; he withdrew. Julianna Hough is guest judge tonight.
“Lost Girl” (Syfy, 10 p.m.) reaches a fourth season finale.
The crew on “Bones” (Fox, 8 p.m.) goes after an illegal medical marijuana outlet.
“The Following” (Fox, 9 p.m.) plays opposite “The Silence of the Lambs” (Oxygen, 7:30 and 10 p.m.).

To mark the 20th anniversary of the network, Turner Clssic Movies is letting fans be the programmers for 20 days, beginning tonight, with “Naked City” (8 p.m.), followed by “A Face in the Crowd” (9:45 p.m.), “Show People” (midnight), “Them!” (1:30 a.m.) and “The Cosmic Monsters” (3:15 a.m.).
