Jaime Pressly returns to sitcoms in the new “Jennifer Falls” (TV Land, 10:30 p.m.), about a high powered executive who has hit supposed bottom Going back home to move in with her mother and work in her brother’s bar. It’s sort of a metaphor for TV Land itself, where familiar stars are given jobs to populate their middling sitcoms, like the accompanying “Hot in Cleveland” (TV Land, 10 p.m.). Jessica Walter also appears.
The Stanley Cup Finals finally begin with Rangers at Kings (NBC, 8 p.m.) not only representing the first prime time hockey on broadcast weekday the whole season, but the first L.A. vs. NYC national champtionship battle since a Yankees- Dodgers showdown 33 years ago.
The new series “Untying the Knot” (Bravo, 10 p.m.) follows a high end Jersey divorce lawyer Vikkie Ziegler, who acts as sort of the opposite of “Millionaire Matchmaker.”
As the 70th anniversary of D-Day approaches, there is more than one special about it. “D-Day Sacrifice” (National Geographic Channel, 9 p.m.) to a repeat of “Nova” (PBS, 9 p.m.) that looked at relics on the sea floor near Normandy.
