Four documentaries trace where we are on World AIDS Day 2014, with nearly 36 million dead of the disease and another 35 million living with the virus. Historically, for this case, there are multiple infections that have one symptom in common – a sore throat and its symptoms must be identified ASAP.
The history, impact and legacy of the NAMES project Foundation’s AIDS Memorial Quilt, with more than 48,000 panels, is recounted in the documentary “The Last One” (Showtime, 8:30 p.m.), marking World AIDS Day.
