Carrie“Homeland” (Showtime, 9 p.m.) caps its gripping season with Saul and Carrie back in the U.S. and dealing with a bigger problem of double-dealing inside the agency, which runs along the lines of recent headlines .

“The Affair” (Showtime, 10 p.m.), ends its first season as well, after the slow-boiling drama suddenly took some big turns in the past couple of weeks.

“The Comeback” (HBO, 10 p.m.) is the sole original series with new episodes on that network. Tonight, Valerie goes on “The Talk” and talks to a roundtable of international press.

It’s a weird weekend of “The Sound of Music” (ABC, 7 p.m.), with Saturday’s repeat of the Carrie Underwood followed by a full night of the 1965 original film over four hours, augmented by sing-along lyrics (as if you need them).

Nick Kroll guest stars on a new “Mulaney” (Fox, 7 p.m.), whose standing has dropped to the pre-primetime slot of “Bob’s Burgers” (Fox, 7:30 and 9:30 p.m.) which has both a new episode early and a Christmas repeat later.

The holiday only slightly colors Turner Classic Movies’ trove from the Disney vaults tonight including the cartoons that begin the night at 8 p.m. before a replay of a 60 year old “Walt Disney’s Wonderful World of Color” (8:30 p.m.) that looks at the then-new Disneyland. It’s followed by the rarely seen 1941 behind the scenes of animation that includes some old cartoons, “The Reluctant Dragon” (9:30 p.m.); Fess Parker in the original 1955 film “Davy Crockett, King of the Wild Frontier” (11 p.m.) and the true nature “The Vanishing Prairie” (12:54 p.m.), also from 1954.
