DeadEndAlaska is a crossroads of reality shows, and the new “Dead End Express” (National Geographic Channel, 10 p.m.) follows rugged deliverymen in that state, where Roger Phillips rides a snow machine, Rob Kinkade pilots a small plane and Paul Hemann and his son mush dogs. But its cast  also includes Andy Breland and Chuck Allen, leading pack horses in Flathead National Forest in Montana, and Brice Barnes, pictured above, who drives a jet boat on Idaho’s Snake River.

If you don’t know what the car restoration show “Lost in Transmission” (History, 10 p.m.) is doing on the History Channel, consider that the first thing two restorers find is a 1981 DeLorean that went underwater in Hurricane Sandy. That’s two dates right there.

The eighth season finale of “The Big Bang Theory” (CBS, 8 p.m.) has Sheldon tries to get Leonard and Penny to pick a wedding date. On “The Vampire Diaries” (The CW, 8 p.m.) the wedding date for Alaric and Jo has already arrived.

Josh gets a big head when he’s considered for a big film role on “The Comedians” (FX, 10 p.m.).

“Dig” (USA, 10 p.m.) has its season finale, with Jason Isaac trying to stop all manner of apocalypse.

Stephen Merchant and Malin Akerman perform on “Lip Sync Battle” (Spike, 10 p.m.). May the taller one win.

Not sure that “Party Down South” (CMB, 9 p.m.) requires the “Party Down South: The After Party” (CMT, 10 p.m.).

Regis Philbin and Weird Al Yankovic guest stas in the first of two episodes of “The Odd Couple” (CBS, 8:30 and 9 p.m.).

Hector is turned over to Mexican authorities on “American Crime” (ABC, 10 p.m.).

There are plans for a second TV series based on it, but for now here’s the 1987 original, “Dirty Dancing” (ABC Family, 8:30 p.m.). There are also series that could probably be made from “GoodFellas” (IFC, 8 p.m.) or “Airport” (TCM, 8 pm.).

The latter kicks off the first three Thursdays in May  dedicated to disaster movies on Turner Classic Movies. The night rounds out with further air disaster in “The Crowded Sky” (12;30 a.m.), “The Hindenburg” (12:30 a.m.), “Five Came Back” (2:45 a.m.) and “Skyjacked” (4:15 a.m.).
