CoatManyColorsNetworks are by and large out of the movie business, but here’s the exception: “Dolly Parton’s Coat of Many Colors” (NBC, 9 p.m.), based on the singer’s early hit about her own upbringing, a purposely downhome story with Christian underpinnings. Parton narrates and can be heard singing with Alyvia Alyn Lind, who plays the 9 year old Parton here, growing up int he Great Smoky Mountains of Tennessee in the mid-1950s. Jennifer Nettles plays the mom; Ricky Schroder her dad. And grandfather is Gerald McRaney.

Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings, Celine Dion and Tori Kelly are among the guests singing in “Michael Buble’s Christmas in Hollywood” (NBC, 8 p.m.). But mostly it’s the title star, who does the standards as well as his own new song “The More You Give (The More You’ll Get),” which also ties in to all the advertising. Making cameo appearances in the special will be Jay Leno, William Shatner, Blake Shelton, Kylie Jenner, Gigi Hadid and Eva Longoria.

Yes, “A Charlie Brown Christmas” is 50 years old this year, but it may be more shocking that Pixar’s “Toy Story” is 20. That milestone is noted in the special “Toy Story at 20: Infinity and Beyond” (ABC, 8 p.m.) featuring interviews with some of the voice talent, including Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, John Ratzenberger and Annie Potts, as well as director John Lasseter and songwriter Randy Newman. Better yet, it’s followed by the movie itself, “Toy Story” (ABC, 9 p.m.).

Who are those dudes behind the space helmets? Michel Gondry’s new film, “Daft Punk Unchained” (Showtime, 9 p.m.) explores why world of Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and collaborators that include Nile Rodgers, Pharrell Williams and Kanye West.

“Nathan for You” (Comedy Central, 10 p.m} creates a big stunt on the top of a Los Angeles building.

Rachel Dratch guest stars on “Billy on the Street” (truTV, 10:30 p.m.).

A two-hour “Bones” (Fox, 8 p.m.) investigates a Wild West shooting competition.

Michelle Obama pops up on “Project Runway” (Lifetime, 9 p.m.) with a challenge that benefits Let Girls Learn, a Peace corps organization.
