the-catch-abc-new-shonda-rhimes-show-pngWhat has ShondaLand done to Mirielle Enos? Once a singular, brooding presence in “The Killing” and “Big Love” before that, she’s been burnished and gone to smiling school, her hair styled into a generic beauty in an overly-glamorous role as a Los Angeles private investigator who is engaged to another dashing figure who was once a more complex cable actor, Peter Krause.

He bilks her out of millions and she goes after him, following him into what is called “the dangerous and sexy world of international crime.” While “The Catch” (ABC, 10 p.m.) might fit fine with the often preposterous fluff of other ShondaLand offerings “Grey’s Anatomy” (ABC, 8 p.m.) and “Scandal” (ABC, 9 p.m.) and may make Enos a star in some circles, it’s quite a step from the interesting work she used to do.
