An-Honest-Liar_4_[Justin-Weinstein-and-Tyler-Measom]“An Honest Liar,” making its debut on “Independent Lens” (PBS, 10 p.m., check local listings), would be an interesting film if it were just about the history of James Randi, the Houdini- and Blackstone- inspired magician and illusionist known as “The Amazing Randi,” who later spent most of his career debunking faith healers and psychics who defrauded people using the tricks of magicians.
