A few season finales fall heavier since the announcements of their demise. So it’s the last you’ll see of “Castle” (ABC, 10 p.m.), which leaves after eight seasons, with no big summation (and maybe even a cliffhanger that will never have a resolution).
Also going is “Mike & Molly” (CBS, 8 p.m.), after six seasons, a comedy that never could quite adequately contain or ably present the comic possibilities of Melissa McCarthy — who found a more successful career in big screen comedies.
A regular old season finale comes for “Jane the Virgin” (The CW, 9 p.m.) with Jane and Michael’s wedding. It will be back for its third season.
A winner is named on the season eight finale of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” (Logo, 9 p.m.).
Online, a new season starts for the acclaimed Canadian cop series “19-2” (Acorn, streaming) with Adrian Holmes and Jared Keeso.
Pink comes on as advisor as the top eight compete in the semifinal round of “The Voice” (NBC, 8 p.m.).
Street recyclers in Oakland, Calif., are chronicled in the documentary “Dogtown Redemption” 0n “Independent Lens” (PBS, 10 p.m., check local listings).
A double elimination is slated for the semifinals of “Dancing with the Stars” (ABC, 8 p.m.), where Jodie Sweetin slipped off last week, and those with the lowest judges scores now are the NFL’s Antonio Brown and meteorologist Ginger Zee. They’ll leave three to compete in next week’s finals.
Mary has to raise an army to save her Scottish throne on “Reign” (The CW, 8 p.m.).
Now the family on “The Detour” (TBS, 9 p.m.) is getting stuck in traffic.
Hugo Strange resurrects Fish Mooney on “Gotham” (Fox, 8 p.m.).
A heckler dies at a faith healer’s show on “Houdini & Doyle” (Fox, 9 p.m.).
The people on “Southern Charm” (Bravo, 9 p.m.) may be the least interesting in all of Bravo.
But “The Real Housewives of Dallas” (Bravo, 10 p.m.) may be the most off-putting.
Shouldn’t be encouraged: “Street Outlaws” (Discovery, 9 p.m.).
Benedict Arnold negotiates with the British on a new “Turn: Washington’s Spies” (AMC, 10 p.m.).
Now babies are turning up with tattoos on “Blindspot” (NBC, 10 p.m.).
I’m thinking “Full Frontal with Samantha Bee” (TBNS, 10:30 p.m.) will have a thing or two to say about John Miller. She also talks to a Super PAC donor.
Felix returns to chess on “The Odd Couple” (CBS, 9:30 p.m.).
The relationship of Norma and Norman reaches its toughest test on “Bates Motel” (A&E, 9 p.m.).
Turner Classic Movies presents five anthology movies, each with several stories: “O.Henry’s Full House” (8 p.m.), “Quartet” (10:15 p.m.), “Twice Told Tales” (12:30 a.m.), “House of Pleasure” (2:45 a.m.) and “Spirits of the Dead” (4:30 a.m.).
