last-chance-u-featureThe first documentary series based on an article in GQ, the new “Last Chance U” (Netflix, streaming) concerns the undefeated East Mississippi Community College football team in tiny Scooba, Miss., where football players who have been having problems in other schools try their best to come back and be recruited by a Division I college team, if not the NFL outright.

and it’s a complete process that we go through. I have the easy job. She has it hard, and she deals with that more than I do.

Said Wagner, “I say to the guys all the time, ‘How many 45 year old men do you see playing football? None. So you better have a plan, because even if you do go on to the NFL, it’s going to end. At some point it’s going to end.”

Also new online is the film “Tallulah” (Netflix, streaming) starring Ellen Page as desperate young woman who tries to get some help from her ex boyfriend’s mother, played by her old “Juno” costar Allison Janney.
