An impressive array of stars, including Orlando Bloom, Malin Ackerman, Aya Cash, Hannibal Buress, Marc Maron Emily Ratajkowsky and Jake Johnson, are part of the eight-part anthology series about building relationships in Chicago that we assume is ironically titled “Easy” (Netflix, streaming). It’s from Joe Swanberg, who did “Drinking Buddies.”
I’m still rooting for “The Good Place” (NBC, 8:30 p.m.), but that whole forced- euphemism-for-a-curse-word thing is already overdone. On tonight’s episode, its first in its regular time slot, Eleanor gets ethics lessons from Chidi.
Six returning network series begin new seasons tonight. Among them, “Superstore” (NBC, 8 p.m.) where there is a strike on the second season premiere.
Red goes after the guy who kidnapped Liz, claiming to be her father, on the fourth season premiere of “Blacklist” (NBC, 10 p.m.).
On the 13th season opener for “Grey’s Anatomy” (ABC, 8 p.m.), one of the hospital staff becomes a patient.
As the third season begins for “How to Get Away with Murder” (ABC, 10 p.m.), the Keating 5 tries to move on even though the Wallace Mahoney murder is unsolved and Frank is still missing.
“Chicago Med” (NBC, 9 p.m.) is back for its second season, with Dr. Rhodes beginning his fellowship and Dr. Choi the new chief resident.
The most surprising of the returnees may be “Rosewood” (Fox, 8 p.m.), the Morris Chestnut vehicle about a medical crime investigator, back for its second season. Tonight a new captain shakes up the department.
The only reruns on network TV tonight are “The Flash” (The CW, 8 p.m.) and “Supernatural” (The CW, 9 p.m.).
A splendid episode of “Better Things” (FX, 10 p.m.) has Sam inviting her director, well-played by Lenny Kravitz, over to the house for diner.
Michael Ian Black presides over “Debate Wars” (Seeso, streaming) which comedians argue the finer points of random subjects.
The three-episode spinoff “Million Dollar Listing New York: Ryan’s Wedding” (Bravo, 9 p.m.) chronicles the marriage of Ryan Servant to Emilia Behras on a greek island.
Nina Dobrev is guest judge on “Project Runway” (Lifetime, 9 p.m.).
The theme on Turner Classic Movies is “countdown.” Thus: “The Magnificent Seven” (8 p.m.), “The Secret Six” (10:15 p.m.), “Five Came Back” (midnight), “Conflicts 4” (1:30 a.m.) and “The Three Musketeers” (3:30 a.m.).
Thursday night football has Houston at New England (CBS, 8:25 p.m.).
In college football, it’s Clemson at Georgia Tech (ESPN, 7:30 p.m.).
Baseball includes Yankees at Tampa Bay (MLB, 7 p.m.) and San Francisco at San Diego (MLB, 11 p.m.).
In the World Cup of Hockey, it’s Finland vs. Russia (ESPN, 3 p.m.) in the group B finale and U.S. vs. Czech Republic (ESPN2, 8 p.m.) in the group A finale.
