YoungFrankensteinTurner Classic Movies has its night long tribute to Gene Wilder tonight, following the comic actor’s death Aug. 29 at 83.  It includes “Young Frankenstein” (9:15 p.m.), which he wrote and also starred in, “Start the Revolution Without Me” (12:30 a.m.), “The Frisco Kid” (2:15 a.m.) and his first film appearance, in “Bonnie and Clyde” (4:30 a.m.). The night also features a couple showings of the 2008 interview with Alec Baldwin, “Role Model: Gene Wilder” (8 and 11:15 p.m.).

“The This Old House Hour” (PBS, 8 p.m., check local listings) begins its 15th season under that name (and 37th overall) with Tom Silva and Norm Abram again staying close to home by working on a 1909 Arts and Crafts home in Arlington, Mass.

On “Better Things” (FX, 10 p.m.), Pamela Adlon’s Sam is up for a lead in a new comedy and she doesn’t even know it.

A sinkhole opens on “The Good Place” (NBC, 8:30 p.m.) that seems to lead to a bad place.

First episodes have their own list of things to accomplish; sometimes it’s more telling to see the second episode of things like “Notorious” (ABC, 9 p.m.), where Diddy pops up, or “Pitch” (Fox, 9 p.m.), which is likely the better choice.

Contestants fiddle with sparkles and blacklight on “Project Runway” (Lifetime, 9 p.m.). Jaime King is guest judge.

Annalise clashes with the university board on “How to Get Away with Murder” (ABC, 10 p.m.), possibly over having a class with that very name.

A workplace accident occurs on “Superstore” (NBC, 8 p.m.).

Two pediatric cases have an unexpected connection on “Chicago Med” (NBC, 9 p.m.).

It’s pretty early in the TV season for a night of reruns on CBS, but here’s replays of “The Big Bang Theory” (CBS, 8 and 9 p.m.), “Kevin Can Wait” (CBS, 8:30 and 9:30 p.m.) along with “Bull” (CBS, 10 p.m.).

It’s Timbaland vs. Jay Leno on “Nick Canon Presents: Wild ’N Out” (MTV, 10 p.m.).

Red looks for a bounty hunter on “The Blacklist” (NBC, 10 p.m.).

A murder victim with a three-year-old death certificate eludes identity on “Rosewood” (Fox, 8 p.m.).

Graham Norton and Marcus lemons pop up on “RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars” (Logo, VH1, 8 p.m.).

There’s a sweetbread competition on “Chopped” (Food, 9 p.m.).

Amelia and Owen throw a dinner party on “Grey’s Anatomy” (ABC, 8 p.m.).

Muscle Man pulls a prank on “Regular Show” (Cartoon Network, 8 p.m.).

Melissa Rycroft makes a dance intervention on “Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders” (CMT, 9 p.m.).

part two of Ryan and Emilia’s wedding is covered on “Million Dollar Listing New York” (Bravo, 9 p.m.).

“My 600-Pound Life: Where Are They Now?” (TLC, 9 p.m.) may include a 400-pound guy sitting on his bed.

The British plot to assassinate George Washington is discussed on “Mysteries at the Museum” (Travel, 9 p.m.).

What show has the weirdest names? I’m going with “Cutting It: In the ATL” (WeTV, 9:16 p.m.) which has Beautii, Mushiya, Maja and Dedra.

Thursday Night Football has Miami at Cincinnati (NFL, 8:25 p.m.).

In college football it’s Hampton at North Carolina A&T (ESPNU, 7:30 p.m.), Connecticut at Houston (ESPN, 8 p.m.) and Kansas at Texas Tech (Fox Sports 1, 8:30 p.m.).

Baseball has Cleveland at Detroit (ESPN, 1 p.m.).

In game two of the World Cup of Hockey finals, it’s Canada vs. Team Europe (ESPN2, 8 p.m.).
