Mary Berry may have left “The Great British Bake Off” that made her a culinary star, but she’s still a part of the U.S. version, “The Great American Baking Show” (ABC, 9 p.m.), starting its second season. Johnny Iuzzini, Nia Vardalos and Ian Gomez help her as a judge on the show with begins with two back-to-back episodes.
Starting its 14th season is “Top Chef” (Bravo, 10 p.m.), with Graham Elliot joining Padma Lakshmi, Gail Simmons and Tom Colicchio as judges. Sixteen contestants — eight new and eight returning — start the season in Charleston, S.C.
“Picasso: A Museum Reborn” (Ovation, 7 p.m.) celebrates the reopening of the Musee Picasso in Paris following a five year closure.
The first of its annual appearances is “A Charlie Brown Christmas” (ABC, 8 p.m.).
The week-long, four-show crossover of the Flash, Supergirl and Green Arrow culminates on “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow” (The CW, 8 p.m.).
“Nightwatch” (A&E, 9 p.m.), which follows first responders in New Orleans, is back with its third season.
“Cheap Eats” (Cooking, 10 p.m.) travels to Pittsburgh for its season premiere.
“Pure Genius” (CBS, 10 p.m.) is one of the casualties of the season. It won’t play beyond its initial 13 episodes.
Jon Cryer directs an episode of “Mom” (CBS, 9 p.m.).
Lucifer becomes a washed up rock star on “Supernatural” (The CW, 9 p.m.).
Shirt Appleby is guest judge on “Project Runway” (Lifetime, 9 p.m.), where designers are asked to create an avant grade look.
Another show extolling the virtues of tiny house living, but this time with an Asian twist, comes on a show with a groan-inducing title, “Love Yurts” (DIY, 10 p.m.).
Mike may have waived his no-trade clause on “Pitch” (Fox, 9 p.m.) and other off season worries.
Samantha takes boxing lessons instead of ballet on “Life in Pieces” (CBS, 9:30 p.m.).
Tea and Tess are brought together by a blackout on “Falling Water” (USA, 10 p.m.).
“Botched” (E!, 8 p.m.) has a countdown.
“Rosewood” (Fox, 8 p.m.) goes to Cuba, but not for Castro’s funeral.
Carla Hall, Quvenzhane Wallis and Aubrey Anderson-Emmons are judges on “Beat Bobby Flay” (Food, 10 p.m.).
Turner Classic Movies joins in the onslaught of Christmas classics with “The Man Who Came to Dinner” (8 p.m.), “It Happened on 5th Avenue” (10 p.m.), “O. Henry’s Full House” (midnight), “Meet John Doe” (2:15 a.m.) and “Fitzwilly” (4:30 a.m.).
Thursday Night Football has Dallas at Minnesota (NBC, 8:25 p.m.).
NBA action has Clippers at Cleveland (TNT, 8 p.m.) and Houston at Golden State (TNT, 10:30 p.m.).
Men’s college hoops include Columbia at Seton Hall (Fox Sports 1, 7 p.m.), Cincinnati at Iowa State (ESPN, 9 p.m.), and Oregon State at Mississippi State (ESPNU, 9 p.m.).
Women’s games include South Carolina at Texas (ESPN2, 7 p.m.).
