Mariah Carey taps into her inner Anna Nicole Smith to make her first reality series “Mariah’s World” (Bravo, 9 p.m.). She promoted the series last summer before the press carried to the stage by shirtless, muscular men, drinking champagne and acting the ditz. She is credible in the role at least. The eight episode series follows her on her world tour and in her planning of her impending third marriage (which already broke up).
Much more anticipated, when it comes to E! network offerings, is the third season premiere of “The Royals” (E!, 10 p.m.), its only scripted fare.

The 75th anniversary of Pearl Harbor comes Wednesday and yet another historical special “The Lost Tapes” (Smithsonian, 9 p.m.) brings together unseen footage, photos and audio recordings from the day that has led in infamy. Also tonight is an investigation of what went wrong, “Pearl Harbor: The Truth” (History, 10 p.m.).
The first season of “Westworld” (HBO, 10 p.m.) has had its ups and down, but it’s been a beautiful production with some smart ideas and good performances. Still, is it just about who’s a robot and who is real? Some answers may be forthcoming in tonight’s season finale, as well as a look at the “new narrative,” but there’s likely to be some things unexplained as well in order to serve the next season. Either way, it looks to be a big night for both Dolores and Maeve.
Answers and truth presumably come with the two hour second season finale of “Secrets and Lies” (ABC, 9 p.m.).
“The Affair” (Showtime, 10 p.m.) takes the point of view of a fifth person for the first time — Juliette, the fellow professor at Princeton who is getting involved with Noah. Unfortunately, the police also get involved.
Of holiday specials, I’d say “A Very Soul Train Christmas” (BET, 7 p.m.), compiling performance from old seasons of “Soul Train,” is the one to tape.
Homer has a workplace accident on a new episode of “The Simpsons” (Fox, 7 p.m.), while the world’s longest marathon of the show continues on FXX.
I think I said last week would have been the season finale of “Divorce” (HBO, 10:30 p.m.). It wasn’t.

Nice title of tonight’s episode of “The Last Man on Earth” (Fox, 9:30 p.m.): “Whitney Houston, We Have a Problem.”
A holiday competition I was not previously aware of: “Clash of the Grandmas” (Food, 10 p.m.).
The Evil Queen swipes a magic lamp on “Once Upon a Time” (ABC, 8 p.m.).
Someone just arrest the cad at the center of “Sister Wives” (TLC, 8 p.m.).

Margo offers to buy the laundromat on “Shameless” (Showtime, 10 p.m.).
“K.C. Undercover” (Disney, 8 p.m.) deals with holiday blues. Christmas also is celebrated on “Best Friends Whenever” (Disney, 9 p.m.).
Films about the Kings of Israel are on Turner Classic Movies with “David and Bathsheba” (8 p.m.), “Solomon and Sheba” (10:15 p.m.) and the silent “The King of Kings” (12:45 a.m.). Later comes Kurosawa’s 1971 “Dodes ‘Ka-Den” (TCM, 3:30 a.m.).
