But by many accounts, that’s just how her subject, Zelda Sayre Fitzgerald, was growing up as a Southern Belle rang by the dashing literary figure of F. Scott Fitzgerald in the 1920s. Looks like an interesting period drama. But the pilot was made so far in advance of the rest of the series, they’ve had to sub in Fitzgeralds: Gavin Stenhouse in the pilot; David Hoflin in the rest.

Turner Classic Movies’ 12-movie, 24 hour salute to Debbie Reynolds comes today with “It Started With a Kiss” (6 a.m.), “Bundle of Joy” (7:45 a.m.), “How the West Was Won” (9:30 a.m.), “The Tender Trap” (12:30 p.m.), “Hit the Deck” (2:30 p.m.), “I Love Melvin” (4:30 p.m.), “Singin’ in the Rain” (6 p.m.), “The Unsinkable Molly Brown” (8 p.m.), “The Mating Game” (10:30 p.m.), “The Catered Affair” (12:30 a.m.), “The Singing Nun” (2:15 a.m.) and “How Sweet It Is” (4 a.m.). It’s followed by a 1959 short, “A Visit with Debbie Reynolds” (5:43 a.m.). Reynolds died Dec. 28 at 84, the day after her daughter Carrie Fisher died.

Perhaps the Mary Tyler Moore salute on “20/20” (ABC, 10 p.m.) will be better than the CBS attempt Thursday. At least here will be less Oprah Winfrey. On the other hand, there will be a whole lot more Barbara Walters.

Michelle Latimer’s timely new documentary series “Rise” (Viceland, 9 p.m.) begins with a look at native resistance movements in the Americas, particularly the on by the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe that now has to fight the Dakota Access pipeline all over again. Sarain Fox hosts.

The country singer and guitarist stars in “Brad Paisley – Landmarks Live in Concert: A Great Performance Special” (PBS, 9 p.m., check local listings), the rare public television country concert, recorded at West Virginia University.
