You know, kind of like “The Leftovers” (HBO, 9 p.m.), which pushes its biblical comparisons by taking an episode-long look at Kevin’s dad, the ever-grizzled Scott Glenn, out in Australia and an explanation about that strange lady who killed a different sheriff.
Perhaps the last of the documentaries marking the 25th anniversary of the riots, “L.A. 92” (National Geographic, 9 p.m.) uses archival footage and eyewitness accounts.
