ChristianeShe’s built a solid career in international reporting but switches topic for a new six-part series suitable for a Saturday night, “Christiane Amanpour: Sex & Love Around the World” (CNN, 10 p.m.). In it, she will still have an international approach, but presumably use a whole different set of questions in thing with  women about intimacy and their sexual satisfaction, starting in Tokyo. Think of it as a bridge between news and, say, “Anthony Bourdain Parts Unknown” CNN, 11 p.m.).

A network that has rebranded itself as “The New Network for Crime,” brings the first of a two night special, “Aaron Hernandez Uncovered” (Oxygen, 7 p.m.) about the NFL tight end convicted of murder, who hung himself in jail.

There’s a three hour salute in the posthumous episode “Stephen Hawking’s Presents” (Discovery, 8 p.m.).

Sofia Coppola’s Civil War film “The Beguiled” (HBO, 8 p.m.) with Kirsten Dunst, Nicole Kidman and Colin Farrell, makes its premium cable debut.

The impending remake of “Roseanne” is fun, but I wonder if it can survive the incessant hype about it, which includes a special edition of “20/20” (ABC, 8 p.m.) interviewing the cast.

A man accused of killing his fiancee who fell 150 feet from a cliff, is investigated on “48 Hours” (CBS, 10 p.m.). It’s just about the only new thing on prime time TV.

A hardworking woman dates three men who she can’t see on “Hear Me, Love Me, See Me” (TLC, 10 p.m.).

On the made for TV “Mommy’s Little Angel” (Lifetime, 8 p.m.), a 12 year old girl is a little too attached to her adopted family.

Meanwhile, on the romantic movie “The Sweetest Heart” (Hallmark, 9 p.m.) a woman is torn between her ex and a guy who helps her failing cupcake business.

A rhino gets a pregnancy test on “The Zoo” (Animal Planet, 9 p.m.).

John Belushi’s life is the focus of “It Happened Here” (Reelz, 10 p.m.).

“The Dead Files” (Travel, 10 p.m.) goes to Briceville, Tenn., to seek out spirits. “Ghost Adventures” (Travel, 9 p.m.) goes to Rainbow Valley, Ariz.

Toys R Us is gone, but here’s “Toy Story” (Freeform, 6:35 p.m.) and “Toy Story 2” (Freeform, 8:35 p.m.).

Randy has a busy day on “Say Yes to the Dress” (TLC, 8 p.m.). Then there’s a follow up on the woman who wanted a wedding dress with dolphins on “Say Yes to the Dress: Since I Said Yes” (TLC, 8 p.m.).

Just about the only network marking St. Patrick’s Day is Turner Classic Movies, with a day of fare that includes “Peg O’ My Heart” (6:30 a.m.), “The Big Stampede” (8 a.m.), “The Fighting 69th” (noon), “Young Cassidy” (1:45 p.m.), “The Rising of the Moon” (3:45 p.m.), “Finian’s Rainbow” (5:15 p.m.), “Flight of the Doves” (8 p.m.) and “Paddy O’Day” (10 p.m.). Later comes  “Crossfire” (midnight) and “Blood Simple” (1:45 a.m.).
