Billy IdolEven if we don’t believe that stars from U2, Talking Heads, Depeche Mode and Blondie  wouldn’t ever have become big  without airplay on a Long Island radio station (and we don’t), there is every reason to believe that a profile of the influential station WLIR, “New Wave: Down to Be Different” (Showtime, 8 p.m.) might be totally entertaining, if only to see how Billy Idol has aged.

Along these lines for music lovers, PBS is rerunning its totally worthwhile “Soundbreaking” (PBS, 9 p.m., check local listings), which looks into producers from Sam Phillips and George Martin to Tom Petty and Dr. Dre.

Good Friday is a good night for the 2018 Annual Stellar Gospel Music Awards (TV One, 9 p.m.). Kirk Franklin hosts; performers include Mary Mary and Snoop Dogg.

Another load of new titles from streaming services – mostly Netflix – tonight with the premiere of “The Dangerous Booker Boys” (Amazon, streaming) from Bryan Cranston and “Superbad” director Greg Mottola, starring Chris Diamantopoulos as an inventor who leaves behind a guidebook for his heirs.

The new series “Rapture” (Netflix, streaming) profiles hip hop artists including Nas, Logic and T.I.

As if you want a documentary series about this, here’s “Trump: An American Dream” (Netflix, streaming) about the rise of the con man and reality star to the nation’s highest office.

The new movie “First Match” (Netflix, streaming), stars Elvira Emanuelle as a young woman who wants to wrestle so badly, she joins the boys team to do so.

In Jared Stern’s movie “Happy Anniversary” (Netflix, streaming), Ben Schwartz and Noël Wells star as a couple who have to decide after three years of marriage whether to stay together.

“The Titan” (Netflix, streaming) is a sci-fi movie about a soldier getting genetic transformation to save the planet, with Sam Worthington, Taylor Schilling and Tom Wilkinson.

All that and a second season for “Trailer Park Boys” (Netflix, streaming).

Neil Patrick Harrisalso  returns for a second season of “A Series of Unfortunate Events” (Netflix, streaming).

Keyshia Cole orders a saltwater aquarium on the 14th season premiere of “Tanked” (Animal Planet, 9 p.m.).

A second season starts for “Gold Rush: Parker’s Trail” (Discovery, 9 p.m.).

The FBI goes to to a gala on “Blindspot” (NBC, 8 p.m.).

On “Dynasty” (The CW, 8 p.m.), the arrival of Alexis throw the Carringtons into a tizzy.

Matty and the team reunite with the bounty hunters the Coltons on “MacGyver” (CBS, 8 p.m.).

On “Strike Back” (Cinemax, 10 p.m.), a simple package delivery can be difficult.

The young cooks on “MasterChef Junior” (Fox, 8 p.m.) use natural sweeteners instead of sugar.

The Candy Killer attacks on “Once Upon a Time” (ABC, 8 p.m.).

Ethan spills his Abuela’s deepest secret on “Stuck in the Middle” (Disney, 8 p.m.).

On “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” (ABC, 9 p.m.), General Hale’s true agenda is revealed.

NBA action includes New Orleans at Cleveland (ESPN, 8 p.m.) and Clippers at Portland (ESPN, 10:30 p.m.).

The Final Four in the Women’s NCAA basketball tournament has Mississippi State vs. Louisville (ESPN, 7 p.m.) and Connecticut vs. Notre Dame (ESPN2, 9:30 p.m.).

In men’s college basketball, it’s Illinois Chicago at Northern Colorado (CBS Sports, 7 p.m.) in the College Insider Tournament championship, and game three of San Francisco at North Texas (ESPNU, 7 p.m.) in the CBI championship series.

Hockey includes Tampa Bay at Rangers (NHL, 7 p.m.).

In tennis, the Miami Open (ESPN, 1 p.m.; ESPNews, 7 p.m.; Tennis, 7 p.m.) reaches its semifinals.

College baseball includes West Virginia at Texas Tech (Fox Spots 1, 7:30 p.m.) and TCU at Oklahoma State (ESPNU, 9 p.m.).

Men’s college lacrosse has North Carolina at Duke (ESPNU, 5 p.m.).
