Television tries another version of the Bible story in the eight-part series “Jesus: His Life” (History, 8 p.m.), with the bearded Greg Barnett in the title role. It may be Easter season, but it begins with the nativity and the flight to Egypt. The story is told from multiple perspectives, Two episodes run each Monday up to the finale April 15 (just before Easter later that week).
The second season of “Women, War and Peace” (PBS, 9 p.m.) begins with a look at the Catholic and Protestant women who united during Northern Ireland’s civil war to help shape the Good Friday peace deal.Then at 10, three Egyptian women put their lives on the line to fight for freedom during the Arab Spring. Two more episodes close the season Tuesday.
Not dealing with peace at all is “Knightfall” (History, 10 p.m.), the medieval battle show which adds Mark Hamill of “Star Wars” fame as the heavily bearded Knight Templar veteran of the Crusades enlisted to train new initiates.
