LittleAmericaEight immigrant stories comprise the new anthology series from Kumail Nanjiani and Emily Gordon, “Little America” (Apple TV+, streaming), based on stories in Epic Magazine. A second season was already ordered.

There are two new projects on competing streaming services about ambitious preteen girls. “Diary of a Future President” (Disney+, streaming) stars Tess Romero as a Cuban American middle school girl with dreams of the White House.  Gina Rodriguez plays her eventual, grownup self and narrates.

In the new movie “Troop Zero” (Amazon, streaming), a space-obsessed 12 year old in 1977 hopes to get her girl scout troop recorded for the Voyager I. Mckenna Grace, Viola Davis, Jim Gaffigan and Allison Janney star.

In the Canadian sci-fi import “Endlings” (Hulu, streaming) four foster teenagers band together to try and save alien species.

The new eight-episode Dutch horror series “Ares” (Netflix, streaming) a pair of college friends stumble upon a secret society in Amsterdam that aligns the rich with the evil.

In the new Tyler Perry film “A Fall From Grace” (Netflix, streaming) Crystal Fox plays a woman who is on trial when her husband is found murdered. Bresha Webb, Phylicia Rashad and Cicely Tyson also star.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and candidate Andrew Yang are on “Real Time with Bill Maher” (HBO, 10 p.m.) as it begins its 18th season, which also welcomes Rep. Joe Walsh, Jon Meecham and Kara Swisher.

“Hip-Hop Evolution” (Netflix, streaming) begins its fourth season. A second season starts for the randy series “Sex Education” (Netflix, streaming) with Gillian Anderson.

There are a couple of new standup comedy specials: “Rob Delaney: Jackie” (Amazon, streaming), named after a pet lizard, and “Russell Peters: Deported” (Amazon, streaming), filmed in Mumbai.

On “American Housewife” (ABC, 8 p.m.) there are concerns that Anna-Kat may be getting OCD.

A killer inspired by Greek mythology is sought on the second episode of “Lincoln Rhyme: Hunt for the Bone Collector” (NBC, 8 p.m.).

Jessica lands a job as private school dean on a new “Fresh Off the Boat” (ABC, 8:30 p.m.).

On “Dynasty” (CW, 9 p.m.), Blake’s trial continues.

Macy’s chance encounter with an investor takes a turn on “Charmed” (CW, 8 p.m.).

The couple examined on the latest edition of “Hopelessly in Love” (Lifetime, 9 p.m.) is Anna Nicole Smith and Larry Birkhead.

In the made-for-TV thriller “The Daughter Stalker” (Lifetime Movie Network, 8 p.m.), a woman is shocked to find that she’s the guardian of her dead sister’s daughter, who has her own big inheritance . Karynn Moore and Juliet Ruche star.

A “supersized” episode of “My 600-lb Life” (TLC, 10 p.m.) just seems excessive.

Turner Classic Movies marks the 100th anniversary of the start of Prohibition with “Whisky Galore!” (8 p.m.), “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?” (9:45 p.m.) and “The Big Hangover” (12:15 a.m.). Later comes two oddball things from Larry Cohen: “The Private Files of J. Edgar Hoover” (2 a.m.) and “It’s Alive” (4 a.m.).

During the day TCM celebrates Paul Muni with “I Am a Fugitive from a Chain Gang” (6 a.m.), “The World Changes” (7:45 a.m.), “Hi, Nellie” (9:30 a.m.), “Black Fury” (11 a.m.), “Bordertown” (12:45 p.m.), “Dr. Socrates” (2:30 p.m.), “The Good Earth” (3:45 p.m.) and “Angel on My Shoulder” (6:15 p.m.).

NBA action includes Chicago at Philadelphia (ESPN, 7 p.m.) and Portland at Dallas (ESPN, 9:30 p.m.).

Hockey has Pittsburgh at Detroit (NHL, 7:30 p.m.).

Men’s college hoops include Dayton at Saint Louis (ESPN2, 7 p.m.), Forman at Wofford (ESPNU, 7 p.m.), Wisconsin at Michigan State (Fox Sports 1, 7 p.m.) and Michigan at Iowa (Fox Sports 1, 9 p.m.).

Women’s games include Marquette at Butler (Fox Sports 2, 6:30 p.m.).

There is second round play in the Latin America Amateur Championship (ESPN2, 3 p.m.).

Women’s college gymnastics includes Oklahoma at Alabama (ESPN2, 9 p.m.).
