ListentoYourheartOne thing that may help us go through a time of high anxiety, sickness and death is music.

It happens to be a part of two reality show spin-offs that start new seasons tonight.

“The Bachelor Presents: Listen to Your Heart” (ABC, 8 p.m.) is a semi-complicated offshoot of the dating franchise in which 12 men and eight women converge to woo one another with song. Like the more established spinoff, “Bachelor Pad,” it’s likely to be more entertaining because it involves more couples, but the song choices aren’t expected to be great.

The tunes in “Songland” (NBC, 10 p.m.), returning for its second season, are originals. Aspiring songwriters present their songs to a panel of recording artists (Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic, Shane McAnally and Ester Dean) and winning selections get recorded. It’s like how the process actually works, except in a reality show format. The first musical guest tonight is Lady Antebellum.

The new “The Baker and the Beauty” (ABC, 10 p.m.) is a bloodless adaptation of the prince and the pauper theme, this time based on a telenovela and based in Miami, where a fashion star meets a baker. Victor Rasuk and Nathalie Kelley Star.

“The Plot Against America” (HBO, 9 p.m.) reaches forced relocation in Kentucky.

Jimmy recovers from last week’s harrowing adventure on “Better Call Saul” (AMC, 9 p.m.).

Harvey Levin is late to the party with “TMZ Investigates: Tiger King — What Really Went Down?” (Fox, 9 p.m.) rehashing all things Joe Exotic and Carole Baskin.

A rift between Elena and Lila emerges while on vacation on “My Brilliant Friend: The Story of a New Name” (HBO, 10 p.m.).

On “Breeders” (FX, 10 p.m.), Paul tries to focus on his upcoming wedding.

The four reflect on their experiences on “Dispatches from Elsewhere” (AMC, 10:25 p.m.).

Kenny Rogers, who died last month, gets a full “Biography” (A&E, 9 p.m.). Then the Hag gets a concert tribute in “Merle Haggard: Salute to a Country Legend” (A&E, 11 p.m.).

The quirky Rosario Dawson drama “Briarpatch” (USA, 11 p.m.) ends its first season.

The national mental health crisis gets a look in “Bedlam,” a film premiering tonight on “Independent Lens” (PBS, 10 p.m.) and focusing on Los Angeles’ county.

Knockout rounds begin and James Taylor visits “The Voice” (NBC, 8 p.m.).

Famous people reward loved ones with home makeovers in the new series “Celebrity IOU” (HGTV, 9 p.m.), starting with Brad Pitt helping a makeup artist.

The death of a millionaire on the Upper East Side is explored in “Torn from the Headlines: New York Post Reports” (Investigation Discovery, 10 p.m.).

Adam has a jealous outburst on “Below Deck Sailing Yacht” (Bravo, 9 p.m.).

Alton Brown returns with a second season of “Good Eats: Reloaded” (Cooking, 9 p.m.).

“Bull” (CBS, 10 p.m.) defends a state judge on trial for obstruction of justice.

Mark takes a police ride-along on “All Rise” (CBS, 9 p.m.).

“Bob (Hearts) Abishola” (CBS, 8:30 p.m.) welcomes Christine Ebersole and John Ratzenberger.

Jennifer Love Hewitt’s call center is taken hostage on “9-1-1” (Fox, 8 p.m.).

“Cosmos: Possible Worlds” (National Geographic, 8 p.m.) presents two episodes.

There’s a standoff on “The Neighborhood” (CBS, 8 p.m.).

“Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” (VH1, 8 p.m.) prepares for a ski trip.

Maria and Alex make amends on “Roswell, New Mexico” (CW, 9 p.m.).

“T.I. & Tiny: Friends & Family Hustle” (VH1, 9 p.m.) returns for a third season.

The month-long Tuesday night salute to Jane Russell continues with “His Kind of Woman” (8 p.m.), “Macao” (10:15 p.m.), “The Las Vegas Story” (midnight) and “Montana Belle” (1:45 a.m.).

Earlier today are the films of director and choreographer Stanley Donen, born this day in 1924 (he died last year at 94): “Love is Better Than Ever” (6 a.m.), “Give a Girl a Break” (7:30 a.m.), “Deep in My Heart” (9 a.m.), “Royal Wedding” (11:15 a.m.), “Seven Brides for Seven Brothers” (1 p.m.), “It’s Always Fair Weather” (2:45 p.m.), “On the Town” (4:30 p.m.) and “Singin’ in the Rain” (6:15 p.m.).
