The focus of Bill Haney’s “Jim Allison: Breakthrough” also plays harmonica and has won the Nobel Prize, a designation a White House tweet Sunday misspelled numerous times as “Noble.”

Mindy Kaling cooks up another new series, a coming of age thing called “Never Have I Ever” (Netflix, streaming) about an Indian-American adjusting to high school life. Newcomer Maitreyi Ramakrishnan is in the lead role, while John McEnroe for some reason narrates.

Season finales come for a number of series. The end of “Dispatches from Elsewhere” (ABC, 10 p.m.) comes with the answer to all the mysteries, possibly.

The comedy “Breeders” (FX, 10 p.m.) also reaches its first season end.

Malcolm figures out the girl-in-a-box mystery on the first season finale of “Prodigal Son” (Fox, 9 p.m.).

The new “Southern Gothic” (Investigation Discovery, 10 p.m.) looks at true crime stories from the south, starting with small town Texas.

Another new series, “Mummy Mysteries” (Travel, 10 p.m.), looks at stories in Egypt, rather like “Secret’s Unlocked: Tut’s Tomb” (Smithsonian, 8 p.m.).

“Roswell, New Mexico” (CW, 9 p.m.) sees the sudden appearance of Liz’s mother.

H.E.R., who was such a standout on the Prince concert last week, is on “Songland” (NBC, 10 p.m.) to listen to new ones pitched by songwriters.

“The Voice” (NBC, 8 p.m.) looks back at the season so far, mostly by showing judges’ antics.

Viola Davis helps her old college roommate get a property update on “Celebrity IOU” (HGTV, 9 p.m.).

“9-1-1” (Fox, 8 p.m.) fights an apartment fire an attempts a rescue.

There’s a ski trip on “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” (VH1, 8 p.m.).

And “T.I. & Tiny: Friends & Family Hustle” (VH1, 9 p.m.) goes glamping.

Charter guests are smitten with Adam on “Below Deck Sailing Yacht” (Bravo, 9 p.m.).

The Monday night salute to Jane Russell on Turner Classic Movies concludes with “Foxfire” (8 p.m.), “Hot Blood” (10 p.m.), “Underwater!” (11:45 p.m.) and “The Born Losers” (1:45 a.m.), which is followed by the similar cycle film “The Wild Angels” (4 a.m.).

During the day, it’s all Jimmy Durante with “The Passionate Plumber” (6 a.m.), “You’re in the Army Now” (7:30 a.m.), “Music for Millions” (9 a.m.), “This Time for Keeps” (11 a.m.), “The Cuban Love Song” (1 p.m.), “Meet the Baron” (2:30 p.m.), “Hollywood Party” (3:45 p.m.), “Student Tour” (5 p.m.) and “Speak Easily” (6:30 p.m.).
